Possibly....I dont recall the exact events in that time period.
Point is unless I tell you exactly where and how I get my information (which I wont) you are assuming things. Your assumptions may be correct or not.....
Oh but I am...in fact just last night I was threatened that if my plane (which is 6.5' long by the way) did not get off her brand new ottoman (however you spell it, and my new living room workbench) it would be thrown outside in the garbage.....I held my ground and refused as the plane would be back in the car the next day for flying......I won, but I had to guard the model and ensure that I left the house after her and that I return home before her today
If the plane was not electric it would probably be in the garbage LOL
good enough, just a case of avoiding the obvious then.
By the way, regarding your interpretation of "master of your domain"
first of all.....................you never "win".
Secondly, I've learned three things about males who claim to be the "king" at home and that what they say goes.
1. They are divorced
2. They are soon to be devorced
3. They're lying.
Like the old saying goes; "I'm the head of this family................and my wife is the neck, able to turn the head in any direction she wants.
See I dont claim to be the king...no need really. My wife and I have been together for 10 years since we first started dating....there is an "understanding" if you will regarding the planes. She has learned to deal with the fact that planes are my life....there is rarely an argument (except when the plane is on the ottoman LOL) about money (we are both engineers so we do ok, I suppose if things were different it might be an issue!...) or time spent flying etc etc....I have found the key is involvment....she coaches, covers etc etc and spends a lot of time at the field.
From my experience guys who are very active (read spend 5 out of 7 days of the week flying will 10PM) who's wives are not involved seem to have more difficulty with them accepting it....this is my own perception. Personally I think the key to ultimate happiness is having your "own" thing and having the freedom to do it. How boring would it be to have exactly the same interests and have no time to yourself to enjoy your own interests....thats an evil thought...life is all about experiences the more you have the better off you are....
One of my favorite experiences (and one I will unlikely ever have again) was the month I spent out in the desert of Oman in the Middle East Only time I have ever witnessed camels in the wild LOL......also people laugh at Sask. for being flat as a pancake....I have never seen anywhere as flat and barren as Oman!

Mine did. She is also very understanding in the airplane department, but the rules above still apply.
She lauged and said story of her life LOL.
