here is the post for the DF#40 !!
And spare parts contact. . . I am !
also, need (really) to speak about this heli .. !

libertycat -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/10/2005 1:22:29 PM)

is anybody flying with this one ??
I use to bent the part HM040-040 ... . main rotor horizontal inside shaft.
even if I sell these original parts, cheap, I'd love to find more stronger ones....

Can you give us a review of this thing Liberty Cat?

It seems you might be the only one round these forums that owns a DF40...

With your simulator. Some people have said in the past that they could get their sim to work with their TX using windows 95 not windows XP

People if I said this wrong please correct me..

Thanks
Kriz

Anyone here have a brushless setup.

leanlow -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/11/2005 1:26:21 PM)

Hello, i own one of these heli.'s, bought it and a sim. to practice with till i get my rappy.

cptsnoopy -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/12/2005 12:30:09 AM)

do any of you guys know if this heli is walkera's answer to the blade cp? it sure looks the same. :)

EDIT: after looking again it is pretty close but the Walkera is using the larger diameter tail boom

libertycat -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/12/2005 10:44:54 PM)

lealow,

you manage to make simulator with Dragonfly's TX itself ? or you use other joystick ?

leanlow -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/13/2005 4:45:01 AM)

No, for the sim. i have a futaba 9chp super for my future raptor, with reflex you could not use the walkera remote. if i can get to flying the walkera good then i should not have a problem at getting the raptor 60v2 to hover and have control of it.

Hi all,
Just upgraded 40# to brushless. [:D]
I had to make a modification as shown in the picture to get it to work. Head speed now means head speed!!!

Below is a picture sent to me by Walkera showing the modification I had to make, I did not use the BEC on the ESC to power the RX (tail motor too much current draw, it would fry the ESC), I wired the RX and ESC in parallel too the battery (y connection).

leanlow -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/19/2005 5:59:53 AM)

Hello everyone, i have a few questions.

First on the remote what does the PLT knob do?

Second what does everyone have their two knobs set at (the PLT and PZT?)

Third, i have looked at other videos of other mini electrics and when there head speed is up and close to hove it looks like there are two blades turning slow, if you know what i am talking about, but i have recorded my heli. and it does not do that it is just one solid circle. Is my head spead not fast enouph?

If someone could help me please. Thanks

delboy344 -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/20/2005 10:45:12 PM)

leanlow,
Have you flown your 40#?

leanlow -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/20/2005 11:05:51 PM)

I have'nt "flown" it but i have done some hovering and a couple of circles, but i am still not very familiar with the control besides the two sticks.

libertycat -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/21/2005 7:18:17 AM)

Sirs !!

PZT and PLT know is for mix parameters...
the one on your left is changing gain of blade pitch change during the gas increasing .. the right one, changing the extreme position (more or less pitch)

for any Dragonfly spare parts, see http://libertycat.monsite.wanadoo.fr

delboy344 -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/21/2005 9:14:59 PM)

Does anyone know how to setup the gyro ?

Dj Kriz -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/22/2005 2:17:25 PM)

I should receive my Walkera 4ch next (I HOPE) so I have alot of suspence building up each day.

I would like to maybe progress onto a DF 40 or something else CP.

I got a rather daft question though[:D].

What does the throttle stick control on the CP models normally, (I know channels can be changed and swapped so sticks and switches can be change to do different things) but when a DF 40 arrives to you from the supplier how is it setup.

Personally because I have never flown a heli before nor do I know much theory about the Radio setup I would of thought that the pitch would be adjusted using the throttle stick, and in addition using a knob for RPM change.

But is this scenario right for the DF 40?

Thanks
Kriz

Dj Kriz -> RE: Walkera DragonFly #40 CCPM Electric RC Helicopter (6/22/2005 2:26:49 PM)
