Me too. For an area with 300,000+ population, this place is a RC hobby wasteland. Unless you fly slimers.......

Supposedly there is a track behind Nance Machine in Siloam Springs. Never been there....... Supposed to have a race on July 9. Think that was the date.......

I've tried calling the number a couple of times, but I get no answer.

If the place exists, it's a well kept secret.

It also says "Updated: Dec 11 2003". I raced at Ft. Smith a few times in that time frame, and some guys from Sprindale never mentioned it. Sounds like wishful thinking to me.

I will have to check out the first one, my family lives in Nesho and I travel up there quite a bit. Can't figure out where the second one is.
Have you found the BMX track in Fayettville?

Do you know any other people that are into RC cars? My friend and I would like to start talking to as many folks around here as possible - maybe get something going in this area.

Hey guys there is a raceway it Little Rock. Its longway out of your way but its the best one in Arkansas. It's called Alison OffRoad RC Raceway. By the way this is a link to a website that has all of the tracks in Arkansas on it. http://www.rccaraction.com/info/rctrack_srch_insert.asp

Made it to the Neosho "car pit burn" track. Nice track and shop. Great driver's stand. They said not much electric action for reasons they don't really understand (maybe it's the 4 foot high kicker double jump on the front straight?!?!?!). They said there were over 60 slimers for a race a few weeks ago. Some big series event.

They also have a nifty little 1/18th indoor oval. A few guys race 18T's and Xrays on Friday nights.

They race on Saturdays at noon. I'm going to try to go this upcoming Saturday. Maybe we can get enough electrics to have a decent race. There is a big slimer race in OKC that day, so there shouldn't be a huge turnout for them. Who knows....

Here's another one I found recently...... Getting a bit far away though, about 1 1/2 hr drive....Two tracks, off road and oval... Weekly shows.
http://www.libertyrcracing.com/

The Arkansas series race is this weekend in Siloam. I'm planning on going, will try to race truck and buggy, assuming some parts get here on time. I'll get probably get lapped several times, but who cares.....Maybe they will have a weekly show after this race.

Mike,

Pretty good. By far the largest off road track I've ever raced on, but I haven't done that many off road races. Decent jumps and course layout. Fun track overall, a bit big for electric (only turned 10 laps in the main). Track was really loamy too, had the wrong tires...my fault. Got a couple more sets of tires now.....

I had also never seen 1/8 scale buggy. Those things are crazy. And indestructible. Guys were flinging them 6-7 feet in the air off of a 3-4 foot high tabletop and going 40 feet out, landing totally on the sides, cartwheeling 30 feet, and then driving off. Simply amazing. I've broken front arms rubbing the pipe barriers......

They had about 60 or so drivers total. Only 8 electric trucks. Ended up getting 3rd in the main only because the nearly unbeatable local electric pro broke a motor or something.

The next Arkansas series race is in Waldron on Sept 10th. Gonna try to go........

Also made it up to Neosho last Friday. The micro oval was a bunch of fun. They run races by # of laps, not minutes like I'm used to. Ran 60 lap heats, and a 120 lap main. Took about 9 minutes to run the main!

Found out the Liberty track is dead.....

c ya
Mike

Thanks for the tip though.
