I had my top cap set up with a magnum 80 4stroke. It flew like a real DOG. I switched to a 46FX I had laying around and WOW it came to life. Now I can easily do flat spins ,waterfalls and tight knife edge loops. Now I love this plane.

And so starts the classic 2 stroke vs 4 stroke power to weight ratio debate. My money is still on 2 strokes for performance where maximum power to weight ratio is needed. Yes, I'd be the 1st to admit that 4 strokes have really come a long ways and in some cases (new Saito 1.00 and the Y.S. engines) they've almost closed the gap power wise. If you like your O.S. .46 FX, try an Irvine .53 - you won't be sorry!

Allot of people believe that bigger is better. This is not necessarily the case. When you add weight to a Fun-Fly you sacriface performance and flight characteristics. These flight characteristics are the things that we buy a Fun-Fly for! Then we have a tendency to add too much power and weight, and we can't figure out why ours does not perform very well .

I don't think that this is a 4C vs. 2C at all. Just a Lesson Learned!

Okay... I'll say it for y'all

Then again.. the Saito .72 weights about the same as a OS 46.... Run beautifully too...

But I ran one on a Pizzaz and didn't like it as much as the 2 strokes... It had plenty of power.... But it didn't spool up as fast and that scream... you know the one that all the 4 stroke guys hate? That scream tells me where the engine is rpm wise... I guess I got used to that and depend on that for throttling...

Oh well... to each his own.... I wish Wayne Geffon would come to the ProBro flyin so I could see what he can do with a Saito .72 equiped FunFly..... He swears by them thar 4 strokes....

So... what do you say Wayne??? Wanna shut up all us 2 stroke guys will all that awesome 3d stuff you can do with yer 4 strokes???? (winking and goading)

I havnt completely ruled out coming but, I have a trip at work that doesnt get me home till kinda late Friday evening. Is it a one day thing or will it still be going on Sunday?
