Time Stretcher!

Just can't find time to fly lately with family committments and the weather. This is really starting to aggravate me. If I can just find a time stretcher, I just might be able to stay sane.

Oh well, maybe this weekend!

Actually, I think we all need a Time Suspender. When we get that perfect flying time, when the weather is just oh so perfect, then we need to suspend time so that we can fly for 6-7 hours while time in the rest of the world is stopped. Then when we're done flying we can restart time and nobody would know that we were gone!!!!

I always wanted a "Save Game" button. It could be pushed before taking off and reset if I wrecked. I came up with this idea while sitting in a bar staring at a gorgeous girl in college.

LOL, DamonTX, that's weird

I'd need a weather changer rather than time stopper.
I have pretty much spare time to go fly but the weather is a real show stopper.
In Finland we have a long, cold and dark winter and during the short summer month it's always seem to be windy.
I live on the coast and there are very few evenings with dead calm weather....

I feel your pain, Bayou, same sory here. When I can't get to the field, everyone calls asking if I can fly. When I can and do go, I end up flying all by myself. Heck, If I want to fly by myself, I can do that here at home, which I sometimes do, but that makes it hard to enjoy watching a good crash.

Had I known that flight was going to cost me $100 per second, I wouldn't have flown 30 seconds!

Bhole74,

I was almost your neighbor until 5 years ago. I lived in Springfield for about 11 years and my daughter and grandchildren still live north of Buffalo.

As for flying alone, I guess it would not be as much fun watching a good crash when you think about who has to repair the damage. LOL

I hope to get to the field this weekend. The weather should hold out good for at least a day or so. If I don't find time to do some serious flying, I will never learn to fly my heli. After a break of 3 or 4 weeks, it is almost like starting over again.

I hope you get to have some fun this weekend.

Lightfoot,

Where do you fly? I fly planes at Jackson County R/C in Woodville and Helis at Huntsville Heli Flyers.

We have a time stretcher , but its at work !

I went to the field today and got exactly ONE flight in before I realized my new engine was coming loose.

Well, if you stay at home, the plane needs less maintenance. So you got that going for you.

Pilot Chad,

The only problem with Saturday morning is that at our flying field you are looking directly into the sun until 11:00 or so. After that it should be great and I am planning on being there. That allows for a leizurely drive down and a casual breakfast before the activities start without having to get up too early.

Well as long as we are wishing for a new tool, I need a mind-set changer. I am 3/4 of the way through a Sig Hog Bipe kit and am really closing in on the finish. I need to change my mind-set to think I am just starting to build. Seems like I get to a point where I have to force myself to the building table. That's where I am on the Hog...

Hooked,
here's what I do when I'm in your position. I get a new project. But I tell myself that I can't start on the new project until I finish the one I'm currently working on.

We have had nice evenings to fly all week but I haven't been able to make it. I was going to go mow the field and fly tonight but guess what, it's raining now and most likely will all day. Just my luck, especially since I have a new one to maiden.
