Can anyone comment to how balanced this plane flies on its side? How is HA KE? How tight is KE loop? Coupling? Compare it to the E.F. yak on its side if you want.
This plane really looks to be all that.

im not being 100% serious when i say IMAC practice plane, im just going at the fact that it will do pattern too, i mean i will do mostly 3D with it, and throw in a Reverse Sharks Tooth or somthing in a flight.

My dad wants to go with the Brison 2.4 gasser, cuz after running the DA-50, he's in love ith the gas stuff, haha.

Does anyone have a link to the Brison?

Thanks,
Scott

I just recieved an email from Brian Hughes at ultra rc about my order looks like i was all nervous over nothing here is part of his reply

Thank you for your email, business, and support. Sorry for the delay in my response, I have been swamped with calls about the new Giles in addition to our dealer business.Currently, email is the best for of contact, I can respond much faster. I searched for your other emails, I am sorry if I missed it. Now, in regards to your comments, YES, I have received your order for the Giles. Thank you. I have your business address as the shipping address. I understand you will be away the beginning of July. At present, based on the feedback from our factory, I do not expect the first shipment of Giles to arrive until the second or third week in July. This shipment will be a small airshipment. The customers that pre-ordered and processed their orders through our internet site will have priority and ship first. Therefore, your will be amongst the first to receive the new Giles. After all processed orders are filled, we will start to fill all backorders / customers on our waiting list. We do not expect to receive our seafreight shipment until the end of July / beginning of August.

In closing, again, I apologize for the delay. I will contact you as soon as the Giles arrive and is ready to ship. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional comments or questions. Thank you for your support and patience and I look forward to speaking with you again soon.

Sincerely,

Ultra-RC
Brian Hughes

Calm down guys... video is coming very shortly... just got to edit it...

This plane flys HA KE extremely stable no coupling and KE loops like a foamy...

I shall say no more.. this is a big FOAMY.. you can do things with this plane that you can ONLY do with Foamy's... thats all there is to it...

Scott,

This Giles is awesome for both 3D and IMAC.. but you have that Yak mang.. wad up.. just fly that. haha, plus you are not worthy of this Giles... o yeah, and Reverse Sharks tooth's are for sissy's... hahahaha

Try a 270degree roller starting upright crossbox, with one roll to the outside then a half roll to the inside!

haha, just kidding...

How's a Saito 150 on this baby? I have one that will turn a 17x6 apc at 9200 RPM

If you guys want to go Gas, try the FPE 2.4. It's only 3 lbs AUW (ignition and muffler included)

Yeah the first one of these had the Brisson 2.4 in her and it still weighed less than 11lbs... BUT you DONT need a big engine in this.. i am running the os 1.60 and it weighs 2lbs.. and accerlerates on the verticles!! no joke, you will see it in the video in a couple days...

The MVVS 1.6 gass is only 2.3lbs and would own the plane... anything bigger than this you would be hovering at a high idle...

By the sound of it this plane is about the same weight as a typical Funtana 90(mine is typical and would come in at 10.5 pounds with a 1.6FX). This makes me think the 150 would be fine on this bird as long as it would balance without adding any nose weight.

How long till I get one? I dont care if I get it from Brian or OMP? Brian is a great guy to deal with. I have purchased a few planes from him before, and ships on time and fast.

This looks like a great plane. I am having a hard time not pushing the "order" button on this one. Hopefully there will be a steady supply!

The web page says there are vinyl graphics included. Does anyone know what these are? The only thing that doesn't grab me with this plane is the covering scheme. If the plane is that good, however, it could grow on me... I wonder if there are any plans to offer it in a solid or alternate scheme at some point in the future.

Yep, I prefer a more conservative scheme like the H9 Extra. I'm pretty sure if enough of us whine about it, they'll do something about it .

You can always recover it
