That's simply amazing! Any video of the flight?

The model completed a very successful season on the UK large model circuit, and is according to a couple of UK mags, for sale.

How is it possible that there is no video of this fantastic model?
No video cameras across the pond?

There are, or were, videos of the model during flight test and at the BMFA Nats.

I've lost the link, but vids do indeed exist.

There are indeed two C-17 Globemaster models this side of the pond, Davie Matthews 1/10 scale version in Ireland, and my 1/9 scale version in the UK. I believe Davie's model has not yet flown, but my model has completed nearly twenty flights now, with the first test flight being in October 2003.

There is a short amount of video at the end of a video report from the UK 2004 Top Gun event at Rougham, the website address is www.felixstowetv.co.uk/html/features.html then click on the Top Gun Link. This is the model that is currently for sale, as I need the space for the next large project.

You were correct!

The original link that coronabob started the thread with is for the Davie Matthews 1/10 scale version in Ireland, which has not flown yet. Davie was planning to bring the Big Grey Cloud to the states for some airshows. I sure hope he does !!!

Here is the link for the sale: http://www.rcuniverse.com/market/item.cfm?itemId=106467

This is an awesome ship, but I certainly don't have that kind of money. The owner should check with the Royal Air Force and see if they want it for a museum.
