It sure looks to me like you have the top of your fuselage attached upside down. The motor mount box should have the left side longer than the right to incorporate some built-in right thrust. Therefore, the front edge of the top should match the edges of the sides as the bottom does. I would get this corrected before you proceed any further.

Well it is a bit late for that if that happens to be the case I will have to shorten the box a hair and put the built-in thrust angle back in. That sucks... Not hard just time consuming. It does not say anthing about that in the directions, Oh here is a comment (note slant) You have got to be kidding, that is all it says... Well I wonder how I could have possibly missed that. You would think they might mention with a bit more Gusto!

I would be tempted to try to cut the top fuse piece back to the first former behind the firewall and just flip the front part over and reattach it. Or you could cut it between the firewall and the first former and add a light doubler to strengthen the area around the opening over the tank compartment. In either case, I wouldn't shorten the mount box.

The fuse slant is going the correct way it is just that I built the other 3 peices wrong. I think I may be able to shave them off and re attach them properly. I do not think it is as bad as I thought at first. It will just look a bit Hacked up in the end. Just goes to show read everything including the small print and stuff between the ()

Looking good Matt. Shear webs add a tremendous amount of strenght to the wings. Basically they tie the two main spars together creating an "I" beam in the wing. Make sure they fit well and use plenty of glue on them. Check your PM

Take a look at the back sheer web again. Do I need to add more if I extend the ailron? The way I look at it. I should not because the other side will be sheeted for the bevel connecting the ailron... Now is the ailron too big do I need a stronger servo?

You need to figure for evey square inch of control surface, you'll need 1 oz per square inch of servo torque. The picture comes up to small to really get what you're saynig, have to see it in person or a bigger pic

OK I looked at a better pic further back in the thread, I would say mock the construction techniques for your modification. I dont think I would take the aileron all the way to the wing root where it meets the fuse, I would probibly end it at the rib where the center sheeting stops. I dont think I would go cutting into that center sheeting, it might effect the integrity of the wing joint

I was under the impression that stress testing was preformed before they manufacture the kit. .. I would have to say that being that Grayhound was cofounder of the kit he gets first dibs on flight... Bruening given your recent history with other peoples planes and the fact you can just say a motor is reliable and it quits is good reason to make you wait till I have a couple flights. Then again it is a good way to get it rebuilt too...

I don't think it will be finished anytime soon. I will have to ask for the electroics for X-Mas... If we are lucky I will have it there in April. Besides I cannot Pass up Hughes in the build he is finding all the issues for me. Although he got the Motor Mount Box correct the first time.

I have not retrofitted the front yet no. I will need to do that soon.

Heater HEATER??? We don't need no stinking Heater... This is MO not MN. You bairly need gloves in this state.

You two will have to come over one of these days so we can look at the wing. Maybe the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Where was I??? I was At home spending quality time with my wife and kids because I was flying all morning until 3... Where were you??? Next it will be my fault for not calling and telling you I was going!

I will not be around this weekend we are heading to MN to see the PAPA's and Grandma's. Let me know if you want to go flying one day next week and I will take a day off. Maybe Doug is off Wednsday or we could just make a whole day out of Thurdsay if it is calm ...
