Status: offline 		Hi all, Does anybody know how to scent your own fuel? I saw somebody run a gas engine with strawbery flavored fuel and that was pretty cool. Is ther some kind of scented oil you could add to glow fuel or would this be bad for your engine?

Status: offline 		I think the place to look is in a speed shop which sells fuel for hotrods. They have scents which will mix with alcohol based fuels. Havn't tried any myself, but a friend swears by 'bubblegum'. I would think scents for lamp oil would mix with gasoline.

Status: offline 		We went to great lengths to develop several fragrances to add to glow fuel that would not give glow plug problems or contain carcinogens, inhibit performance, or cause any issues whatsoever in a glow engine. Plus side is that it works just as good or better than what you can get in a hot rod shop in gasoline engines since our is so concentrated. Works great in jet fuel, diesel, gasoline, smoke oil, and of course ALL glow fuel.
Look for the ones that invented the concept; "The Original Nitro Scent" available from cooperfuels.com

Status: offline 		Just a fact: Any combustible releases Carbon Monoxide (CO), and it's a highly poisonous gas. Then why would we add scent to that gas to smell?

Status: offline 		Yes, but nobody is sticking the exhaust up their nose here... (hopefully!)

My humble, uneducated guess:
The exhaust gasses dissipate enough so it doesn't become an issue, otherwise we wouldn't be able to run our engines without keeling over. Also, you can't smell CO, but it is still there, just in a low concentration. The "fragrance" however, castor or flavored, sticks around long enough and in a large enough concentration for us to smell.

Status: offline 		I didn't ask to stick your nose up the exhaust, I know no1 will do that, but with that scent, you will have the tendency to take deep breaths!

CO accumulates in your blood, so little CO every time...! Here I move the driver's stand opposit to the wind direction everytime.

We have a saying here : You don't need much poison to die (In my native language it sounds much better)!

Status: offline 		Parma (an R/C Car accessories maker) make a variety of scent additives: Gonzo Grape, Smokin Coconut, Cotton Candy, Cherry,
Bubblegum, and Root Beer.

Check your dealer for details.

Status: offline 		Ahhh nitro in the morning .I race 1/8 scale buggy indoor in the winter.It gets pretty smokey in 6 minutes.We use nitro speed scent here so we can stand it.Makes your eyes water and head throb a little less.Makes me hungry.Coconut and cotton candy are my favorites.Works good outdoors too.I've run it for 2 years with no glowplug or engine gumming issue.I use 1/2 bottle to 1 gal fuel.
