I have just got the new Model Tech "Formula 3D" and the engine mounts inverted and the mount is in the wrong place. I want to mount the engine horizontal. What is the best way to figure out just where to place the mount on the firewall to ensure that the prop shaft is in the right place to fit through the cowling and line up right?

Maybe in your instruction book there is a template that you cut out and put on the FW ? Failing that, use the pre-drilled (hopefully) hole in the FW where the fuel lines poke through and put that hole in the centre of your mount.

There should be a X-template though.

No templates, the engine was meant to be mounted inverted. I want to mount it horizontal but I want to make sure that the prop shaft comes out in the center of the opening on the cowling.
