Can anyone please tell me which plastic containers are ok to use with glow fuel? I heard the recyling numbers on the bottom have something to do with it?

Status: offline 		I've been using an old plastic 5 litre auto oil container for about 10 years and the bottom hasn't dropped out of it yet It's also got a graduated sight gauge on one side so you can see exactly how much fuel is in it.

Status: offline 		Well I don't know about your recycling thing but what I know is never to use a thin plastic container to hold high % nitro fuel. I did that and the bottle almost doubled in length over one night! Maybe it has something to do with the tropical climate here, I'm not sure through.

I normaly use a normal gallon you'de use to buy fuel at the gas station.

I also received an email from"fuelman"and I would like to share with everyone.By the way I wanted to know about the plastic because our club buys fuel in bulk and of course.
I didn't want to ruin it

many times on the bottom of the bottle, it will have the HDPE molded in. If
it looks like and feels like the plastic used on modern glow fuel jugs, than
its HDPE. If its clear like a soft drink bottle and feels like it, it is
probably PET type plastic.

Status: offline 		Bottled water PET bottles will shrink slightly, and the tops will shrink and eventually crack.

I use small, quart-sized bottles for immediate fuel supply, especially during contests (CL Combat). That way one does not contaminate the entire jug if one has to return a syringeful of fuel to the container.
