How many of us are active in competition? How many have been to Muncie? How many have been there more than once? More to the point, how many would join the AMA there were a substitute insurance program available?
I'm not about to run for an AMA office. I want as little to do with that continuous SNAFU as possible. The moment a viable alternative exists I'll be leaving the AMA. If our leadership was actual leadership, they would acknowledge this situation and correct it. [/QUOTE]

Well, Bud you have had a chance to get someone that will slow down and redirect the current move in AMA to blow it apart with multiple corporations. probably destroy the IRS 501 (c) 3 status, and now you can look out for Insurance costs in the hundreds of dollars, within a few years.
You P & M about the leadership and what AMA doesn't acknowledge. Mr. ??? the current AMA Pres. and Ex VP know darn well what they are doing, which, IMO, definitely doesn't concern the promotion of model aviation. You will run somewhere else the first chance you get, yet you know all about what *should* be.
You don't know "Leadership" when it's staring you in the face.
You had YOUR chance.
