First time I didn't do a preflight to check for servo reversal.

I think you can figure out the rest.

The good news is that the Estarter fuse broke cleanly in two and only a prop shaft will be needed in the front end to get her flying again.

That sounds like an easy fix - those are suprising tough little planes. I like 'em!
That's part of my taxi out/preflight routine, always a control check, even for a hand-launch. It's actually saved a few with either binding surfaces or reversed servo, wrong model memory, etc...

Good luck with the repair! (Elmer's wood glue works great on foam)

The Estarter is back together and hopefully will be in the air tomorrow. Wood glue is a good idea. I've heard that it behaves a bit more like the original material.

I have learned my lesson. I was in a bit of a hurry to get my flying in before going to work. I suppose the good news is I made it to work on time.

I want # 41 so I can keep all my numbers straight.

FBD, I had that title on one of my race cars a few years back. I was bad to bend the nerf bars when I was in the dirt. AAHHH the good ol days. Now I just tear up nice planes and unsuspecting portions of the sod farm.

Heck, I think just about everybody has done something stupid. I do 'em all day long!!!
Last week at the field, was flying my U Can Do 46. I have a Futaba 9C and actually name all my planes on the radio so I know which one to dial to. Fired up my Sig Kougar and checked to see if I had all the controls. Taxi'd out and took off. Hmm...funny, seems to be out of trim.....I flew it for about 10 minutes (I also use the timer function on the radio so as to not run out of fuel) and landed.
Taxi'd back to the starting stand to find out that I had never switched the radio to the Kougar. It was still on the U Can Do.

Dave...
