Yes, that was stricly an openion based on someone elses thought.... I have never owned a small ST. Only this 1.8 monster, the stupid thing doesnt like high oil content, it wont hold a tuning, and it is LOUD. But, when its running it idles SOOOO SLOW... and sounds like an old muscle car.

yeah I've often said that a ST sounds like Harely with wings . As a matter of Fact so does a Saito.

The weather report for today is "thunderstorms" but its 7:25 am and there's not cloud in sky. I'm going out for breakfast then we'll see if there's a chance to flying later today .

Have a great day - have fun don't get caught

I took my pts out to day for its 1st flight. We had 15mph winds and it was a cross win. It did a great job. The 70 4 stroke had all the power that I needed. I did not run the flaps on it to day. I was going to play with the flaps some when I got it up there. I think I forgot that I had them. lol. I t was fun. The wind did thought it around a lot but not to bad.

Hey Wild CCR - I got some foam tape thinnest I could fine was 3/16 . I put it all along the wing/fuse space and behind the scoop. The tape I bought is the kind that you might put around a window to help seal it. Adheasive on one side (peal and stick) dark foam on the other side , almost sponge like . It seems to compress very well I had no problem getting the wing on or off . After cutting it in half and cutting to length it went on pretty easliy . MY question is : after installing it and putting the wing on and turning it over to look at it - I might be wrong but - I can't see where it will do much good except back by the scoop. My muffler deflector is pointed down so the upper seal is pretty much unaffected . Am I wrong ? wouldn't be the first time LOL.

I only took it up one time. I had 4 planes at the fild that day and that was that last one I took up. I hope the wind is down some to day and I can see what it can do. 15mph winds mad it a little hard to see what it is capable of doing.

    Hope y'all having a great long w/end!

Don't mind me & the words I tend to invent

wldhair, Ditto that, but if you ever move the muffler, or it comes loose during flight and sprays everywhere, its already done.
Mine now blows over the top, because of the open wheel wells for the retracts.
Its mostly to keep it out from behind the scoop and rear inside fuse.....

Well, the 109 went grounghog on Friday night.
    Strange...
On t/o, 100' out and 40' up, engine went to idle, elevator went full down, could not get it back.
Just before impact I had control, but toooooooooo late.
May have been a " glitch spot" one or two of the other guys say they have noticed two seperate areas, very small, but glitch prone...
Or it may have been the servo tray. Post crash inspection, it may have been the servo tray that let go, but hard to tell. oh S***.....

Kyosho 50 size FW190 may fill in the gap, never tried Kyosho, but hear good things.

Then, on Saturday... I fried the ESC on the foamy piper I picked up , my fault.
The crash&dent purchase still a good deal, but the charger came with the plug cut off.
So I sodler'd a couple of mini Deans plugs on. But in my haste, I used two of the same ends. I wasn't paying attention..(+to- & -to+)
When I plugged the battery in, battery got hot REALLY quick, think its ok, caught it in time, but new Rx & ESC needed. anudder 40 bucks ..... oh S*** #2
At least that tiny little stuff is fairly cheap.

Thanks again for the foamy tips, canopy glue did the trick, easy repair.

Could I get a picture of how your 70 setup in the Mustang? If it fits well I may go ahead and drop the extra $15 and go with the 70 instead of the 62. I would actually like to have it a little over horsed so that I can run with a 4 blade prop for a while. That way I can get accustomed to the bird, it will look scale and then when I am much more comfortable with it I can put a 2 blade on it and punch holes in the sky...
