Still waiting around on the engine and radio gear. But I got most everything else done. I even got the oppourtunity to fly it around in the house lastnight, by hand of course. The dogs and the cat were looking at me like "What the $&@% is wrong with this dude?"

Dude, I KNOW there is no way I am the only hand flyer, complimented with the mouth made motor noises. And I have to admit the cat had a legitimate excuse for looking at me like that after the strafing run on her down the hallway.

    Hi smoore,
I worded that a little funny.
I meant: "a statement, not a question" from the wife.

Along the lines of " you better not be doing what I think your doing or your dead!"

but honey, those scratches will buff right out, look, see this, they come right...oh oh sorry

    Repairs looking great, nicely done.
Fill and sand the joints nice & smooth.
The covering tends to show up all the seams and repair areas if not really smooth or if gaps, seams are left open.

I understood ... "But I think as of today I will not have to worry about question/statements agian for a while... The wifes gone and all my planes are back to flyable status!!!! Looks like a great weekend ahead" More directly translated means..
The wife has moved out and is filing for divorce.. Ill do whatever I want to do wherever I want to do it... No more BS from her... and as a stress reducer... all the planes are flyable.... great weekend = fly for 2 days and not have to listen to wife cry about not my not doing what she wants me to do. Thats the smell of freedom boys... FREEDOM!

Back to the plane... what shoul I use for filling the gaps and smoothing? Toothpast would fill, but wont sand well. Spackle might work.. or bondo.. Im sure there is a special high dollar product out there thats made for this

Sorry to hear about marriage smoore, but if you happy about, them so are we
I used wood putty from the hardware store, cheap, dries fast, made to be sanded, make sure its dry 1st or it just smears around.

doby45: the question we all want to ask is:

Did you make the engine noise too ?

Don't think we want to know if the 50 cal sounds were added

whoops, you did make the engine noise...

    too funny !

learned something new too, click on the full size pic!

LMAO !!!! I've done straffing runs on the cats too! Of course it was in the backyard. Hallway is way too small for this plane.

Smooreace- I've got some stuff from the hardware store called Plasti-Wood. It's a great wood filler. Light and dosen't shrink. Or you could just try anyother wood filler.

You know - I bought this "model filler" from tower hobbies - I swear its just "Red Devil" light spackle with a little dye in it to make it match up to the color of balsa wood.

If it smells like spackle looks like spackle works like spackle sands like spackle - I'm thinkin IT'S SPACKLE LOL

horizon still shows them to be backorderd late june. Everything went together nice. had to adjust the clevices to the flaps. didnt have todo that with my old one. Havnt hooked up any of the alerons or the rudder or elevator yet. Ive gotta do some trimming on the cowl but other than that its deff build better than my old model. the servo blocks are glued nicely. So when i pull the cowl todo my trimming im gunna get it fuel proofed get everything trimed out and wait for nice weather. At least i have the simulator back. It had already gave me hours of enjoyment tooling around going in editing everything making a super p51 that would do over 370 mph in a dive haha.
