I brought home an ultra fine wire brush from work . Kinda looks just like a toothbrush only the bristles are a very fine wire , we use them to clean diamond impregnated brass wheels that we use for cutting glass . It seems to work pretty good , no scratches and the stuff is coming off...... well its coming off to the point where it hardley shows anymore and I'm ok with that . I'll be sure and blow the engine off with compressed air when I'm done .

Crock pot sounded like a good idea though LOL

    Hi,

I have the same build up on my car from one time leaving the colling head a little loose and it got baked on real good and overheated the engine a bit but after all the the gas burned off I tried to clean it off with Nitro Blast Nitro cleaner and with very little result. It did take off some but not much maybe i will try steel wool. At least now I know and wont make the same mistake with my plane.

Sorry couldn't be much help lol

I got the ARF, not the RTF. I also put a Saito 72 in there so it needs some break in. I would not worry about the covering under the stripes but under the left wing there is a pretty good wrinkle that I would like to get out. I am sure it would fly just fine with it for a while, but if anyone has done some shrinking on the invasion stripe areas let me know.

Under the wing is the best place to try, in case it screws up. I got mine 2 years ago and used a iron and heat gun, if I remember right the gun worked best.

I got a chance to fly agian last night, but took out one of my larger planes that I haven't been able to fly yet. Ill tell you what.... IT WAS NOW TRAINER!

82" symmetrical mid-wing tail dragger.... OMG what a pain in the ars on the ground!! It took 7 tries before I could get it going strait long enough to get off the ground. I'm sure it looked like a drunk driving commercial. Once in the air it wasn't bad, for a flying tank. After a completely nerve racking 12 minutes I was dark, and surly low on fuel, so down she came. I think I used about 1/4 tank of fuel, but better safe than a lawn dart! I sure missed my mustang after that! But hey... I got to fly, so it couldn't be all bad

Weather here is supposed to be pretty bad, and windy for the next week, and then 2 weeks of playing army after that, so I probably wont get to fly again for a while.
