Its an Ebay buy... Im pretty sure its a NitroPlanes model. The only thing I dont like about it is the landing gear mounts are nothing but thin plywood.. no real support at all. Im sure they are going to rip out when it hits the grass landing, but it has held up so far. I have to recover one wing, so I will get some nudies of it to show. I like the Miss America sceme as well. Thats actually the plane that got me wanting to get into the hobby.

Just so you all know, my idea was to make it easier to find necessary info on the plane, not kill the thread. I too, enjoy this thread and have received great help from it.

Somewhere back in the morass of these pages, there was a compiled list of the immediately-necessary things to do for this model; stuff like tightening the engine and motor mount bolts, removing the flywheel, etc. Also included were things like checking the gear mounts.

It applied to the ARF version. Now that the airframe only kit has been out for a while, I agree; someone should re-visit this "punch list" and update it. I'm about through with my WildHare Edge, and intend to start on my grandson's P-51 PTS in a week or so. I am going to go back and look at the early pages; there was a lot of good info there that folks discovered the hard way. I also intend to make some posts about my progress, findings, etc.

But don't wait on me. I've been looking at and talking about this model for almost two years; I've had the airframe-only kit for at least eight months, and it still sits un-touched. My INTENTION is to get on it soon... but we know how life can intrude, etc., etc.

Well tonite was an EXTRA flight nite . alot of people showed up , which is nice . The weather was PERFECT about 80 degrees and a slight breeze coming straight down the runway.
I flew the Nexstar at least 8 times and was trying alot of things that I do on the simulator and found out that you have all day on the simulator to do theses things NOT so in real life LOL But it was fun trying .
The Mustang flew beautifully no problems at all and I served as a target for one of the guys who flys a P-40 warhawk. I was flying wide open and he couldn't go slow enough to stay on my 6 LOL This will change once I have all the "stuff" off the Mustang. OH!!! my muffler DID NOT come loose . Thats a first for me . It used to come loose every flight , tonite I got in 3 LONG flights with the Mustang and it stayed tight . AND my landing gear stayed in place too . So it was good nite all around ,infact , it was probably the best nite of flying I've had in the 2 years I've been at this . I was bummed out when it started to get dark LOL.
Yall be good and don't get caught

Hey BH I like your list

    That's a great list!

Well here she is all back together and ready to take to the air again. If Sunday is nice I'll be out at the field getting her all tuned up and flying. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and I can get a few tanks through her, can't wait.

Looks like we have a natural among us guys!! Nice job eddie. Get some video of the flight if you can and maybe some pictures of it in the air, too. I bet it looks really cool in the sky.
