Andrew has done me an indirect solid, therfore I will stand behind his hurt feelings and respectfully request an apology from those getting enjoyment from his mishap.

Thanks Vic

AGAIN!!!!!!!

I think they need to add a new smiley face for you guys . A big a$$ getting smooched. That can also be on some of the new MAAK cards, yah know like having the "L" for leader (in some cases) or "J" for juniour.

and maybe for some extra MAAK finances, sell pins and logos of the same. that way you wouldn't need your RCC shirts and stuff to recognize each other at events!

I saw Marc Sharpe_Smith pooched the landing onthe first flight of a Valley Typhoon, man did he get it good.

Andrew, buddy, pal, - are you being a bit over dramatic, take it easy, r/c is fun, fun, fun
.
this isn't the can - the rcccan where the threads are controlled, threads are locked or deleted, and members banned.

BTW - below a photo of the Typhoon before being pooched on landing.

ps - new MAAK rule: I rekommend from that one zone down there that be no one be eating kicken at MAAK flying field while some one is crashing.
.

And despite all claims to the contrary, to a very uninformed person like myself the reference could only be to AJC. I think it was in poor taste. ANd yes if that's what's expressed at an event I would avoid it.

Especially as the original poster was one of the staunch supports of the Bay of Quinte Jet Rally also. Not smart at all.

So Ron & 4*60, what you are saying is that to spite the three of us, you are prepared to damage the efforts of dozens of innocent individuals involved in the organization of the BoQ Jet Rally, plus the enjoyment of dozens of fliers, plus the same of hundreds of spectators.

To me, that says it all about you.

I am absolutely certain that Andrew, despite his rough handling by the three of us, would never advocate or support such a vindictive action.

As for Andrew, I do applologize, laughing at you was indeed in poor taste.

Pat......I would never purposely advocate avoiding any event, but agree with $*60, that "IF" that kind of shenanigans is going on, I would avoid the event.I have two or three jets that I will one day finish and attend with Pete Doupnik soon and I wouldn't want to have to run into that kind of stuff with so much at stake in flight. And I also highly commend you for taking a step to apologize to Andrew, that rates extremely high in my books. As for the others, well..........

To back up my good friend Ron, who may not communicate in writing as eloquently as he plays guitar.

I think the point is that this type of behaviour is what destroys good events.
In simpler terms, and to use an old saying "it takes only one rotten apple to spoil the bunch".
I think Ron was attempting to make this warning as opposed to advocating any kind of boycott.

Ah... Fellas

I do believe we heard an apology in there?

Good enough or do we need a rope?

I'll apologize for my nasty comments, but I don't think a grin justifies an apology. Especially when I didn't post a thing about it in the first place. And I'm sure Bruce didn't mean anything by it. He was very impressed with all the modelers there. If Britbrat had put his plane in, I'd of laughed my a$$ off.

It's really too bad that the internet is such an easy faceless venue of opinion. It's too easy to get carried away. I'm sure for the most part that we are all decent people, and if we had these conversations face to face, the outcome would be a lot different. I can almost picture Marc sitting out having a beer with Gerry, grinning and laughing away........oh wait......maybe not

I'm trying to imagine having a beer with dear ole Kenny.... Ken, is that beer on your upper lip, or your natural froth?
