Gents<

Even though there appears to be a little friction in the last few posts, I would like to say that this thread has become a very positive one. For that reason I suggest that we move this discussion to a new thread as it currently does not fit with the subject title. This would be very unfair to someone just joining who, judging by the title, would be expecting a slugfest and would be very confused by the sharing of experiences in a positive manner. Consequently I suggest we start a new thread however I am a bit stuck for a title covering the wide range of discussion. How about " Radio programming and Pilot techniques" or perhaps " Crashes ... Pilots or Programming?". Any ideas?

How about something frightfully serious & proper, like -- "The exploration of arial mishap phenomena -- an in-depth study of empirical observations related to the cause and effect of modelling misadventures".

A colleague of mine is fond of similar titles.

To borrow his writing style, this would roughly be titled;
"Principles and heuristics for deriving failure mode analysis as an integral whole when related to the interactive behaviour of the integral components of RC systems and their users"....

I should add, this person is highly intelligent and, imho, his work is on a level that can support such verbiage. When he speaks, I listen ... intensely. Unfortunately, his brilliance is lost on many at the decision making level.

So far this gets my vote.

--- but what is the sound of $hit happening, & if it happens when no one is present, does it make that sound?

Personally ... I don't care to be around when it does.
