Hi:
Using turbines at 8000 Ft is not at all an easy task. I have used AMT engines along with Jetcat and none of them had worked well in the first test. All engines went two or three times back to the factory to get the correct setup. That was a nightmare beacuse I live in Mexico and all UPS charges were High!!! I´m not saying those engines are not good, in fact at the end I got pretty good results.
For my last project I decided to get a local manufactured engine and bought the JF 120 engine from Artes jet. Believe me that no other engine has this characteristics working at 8000 Ft. The power is awesome, acceleration is just fine and surpisingly there was no rummbling at all, as all of the engine I previously tested. I made a bench test last weekend and now I´m looking forward to get it installed in my new BVM Bobcat, and I absolutely trust it will be amazing!!!!!
If you are not decided for which engine to buy, believe me this one is all you are looking for in your next project, their support, patience, kindness and of course the quality of the product are really worth the investment that in fact is cheaper that other manufacturer similar engines. I had the chance to visit their factory in Mexico City and you get confident that they know what they are doing.

Well done Guys!!!!

Please keep us informed concerning your flying success. I have a RAM 500 and so far have not been able to fly in Denver,CO. Engine flames out on acceleration. So far we are assuming the flame outs are caused by density altitude. I can accelerate the engine to full throttle with my data terminal but not with the transmitter throttle stick.

Yes I will, In fact we had some headaches with RAM´s as well somes years ago, what I can tell you right now is that I have seen a dozen of Kangaroos and Rookies flyng with the Artes Jet engine at this attitude and not sure I have seen any unexpainable Flameout. The thing that is helping us here is that all R&D is being made here in Mexico at 8000Ft, so there is not better testlab for the engines. As things go better in some other places with the attitude, engines will work even better than here in Mexico.
For sure I´ll let you know!!!
