Iceman1111

Welcome to the thread.

A DA-50 would be ok for power and a great choice, but even with all of the tail group lighting mods you would have to add approximatly 1 or more lbs of dead weight in the nose, so if you don't have an engine as yet I would suggest a Zenoah G-62 with the ei mod, but if you are considering future use's and if $$ are not a big problem I would go with a Brillile 366. Just do your home work, all of the guys in this thread may have a different opion and the above is mine, but my next engine will be the Brillile 366 or the new 80 cc.

my best advice is use the index and then ask guestions as as you know this is a big thread

Cheers Bob T

Ryan I agree with Filli. You will need the weight up front any way so no need to go to a lighter engine plus its cheeper . I would lighten the tail alerons vertical and horazontal fins up .Plenty of good pics on how several of us did that in the thread oh there a good exaple on this page by Gary M .Plan on boxing up the gear area up before you sheet the wing its a pain to do it after . add some wood to the back of the fire wall area all the way around so you can radius the edge for better cooling of the engine . Good luck and welcome to the thread

Hey Bob and all,
Okay, here's some eye candy from Kelvin. I've run the engine and it sounds a bit like a Harley. Pretty nice. I can't wait for that first run with it installed in the plane.

TO ALL,
I had the stripes all done on the fuse, wing,& ailerons, but when I did it I didn't mix the paint all at the same time, and I was told to do so but didn't heed to the advice,so the results were the color was the same but I had a shading problem trying to shoot the paint at different times.
But I got it done now and its CORRECT,you see I was not happy with the results of shooting it at different intervals,so I sanded the stripes all down, and redid the stripes, shooting it all at the same time. Now I'm real pleased with the ending results. I'll be putting up pics real soon.
