I don't think a spray bottle would work unless you could find one that puts out a mist No Droplets, Like I said in prev-post you can put it on with a brush, Also you can't gum up a spray gum with PVA as long as you clean it right after use just use warm water .

Besides that if it is such a great gun why can't you clean it after you use it. Or do you just use the gun and set it aside till the next time you need it. Just a thought you know. I've had the best guns and they don't last if you don't take care of them.

Pappy,

Yeah, my Testors are the right FS numbers. I agree with what you said about the colors and the lack of "GOOD" pictures. I just find it odd that the color pictures that we do see today and the Corsairs that we see at airshows are really "BLUE" (must be for appearance and show). That just kind of confused me after I got the paints. The colors I have are definitely authentic and I think I have adjusted to it. I will be shooting the first color Sunday afternoon if all goes well.

It will be fun convincing everyone at the airfield that those are the "TRUE" colors of the Corsairs from way back when.

Thanks!
Duane

Yes a lot of currant airshow Corsair's are painted incorrectly. I guess if you own a million $ plus warbird you can paint it any color you want with the wrong marking's.
Just painting the plane is one thing but the real fun is adding art work to make it realistic , very rewarding & worth the extra time.
Here's a accurate example of a modern Corsair . Sorry for the huge picture. can't fix it.

nchrome,

I just asked a question. No need to get an attitude. Plus these are new and it will be the first time I'll be using them. I know how to take a gun apart and clean it but that was always with paint, not PVA. I was using an old gun and wasn't to worried about it. Why do you think I got a primer gun and a paint gun? The primer isn't good to spray through a top notch paint gun. Thats just my two cents worth and lets not make a federal issue out of it OK. I am here to learn and thats what I have been getting. Not negitive feedback.

What do you guys think of a DA-85 for this plane? I realize that is a lot of power but warbirds are meant to fly fast...your thoughts are welcome.

Hi Hooked

I would say if it will fit in the cowl, great that is what the left stick is for. (pwr/mgmt)

Well I've got a ZDZ-80 for mine and figure I know how to use the left stick as mentioned, but it's got a h*ll of a lot better chance at swinging a close to scale three bladed prop than the smaller engines. Only glitch with either the DA or the ZDZ is that you'll probably have to add some weight to the nose for balance as both of those engines are lighter than the stock G-62....

Update,

The pushrods for the left wing flap system are done and work great. Deciding now on one servo or two when the right is done. I will either drop a servo in at the end of the flap torque rod on each side or complete the right side and link it with the left and drive with a single servo mounted in the center wing. What would be better?

Chris
