WV, I know guys have used Robinaire or Sierra Precision retracts in the smaller version with good success. I took a look at a set of the Robarts on a smaller one my pal and I painted for a friend. There's problems in your future with the one's you've got, especially if you're really into the fact that the gear retract. It'll be a real spoiler when you find out they don't hold a candle to how they're supposed to work for the plane. Check around the site, and you'll find a ton of info on what to do about it. I don't think anyone is bashing your choice, as hundreds upon hundreds of others have made the same one and come to the same conclusion about what to do, usually after finding out the hard way. You've got some guys here who know what's up with the Corsair. Their advice is good. Follow their lead and you'll avoid a lot of problems and have a beautiful plane.

the dwg is in the snail-mail sent it on the next day after i recived your address..

There are a coupla of things I would do differently depending on what model coesair you are duplicating a --1 ,-1A, -2,or -4 & 5 as the ring manafolds exected in different places if you are duing the -1A like the kit I would check ,but I think they exect at about 5 & 7oclockabout an 1 1/2 bhind the cowl flaps .. Dion did a great job in his thread, it woukd pay to look it up..

Well guys, I just finished sheeting the wings on my "big" corsair. Man what a chore. But
I will admit that sheeting the wings on that old "Red Box" kit was a lot harder. I never would
have thought to cut the sheet so that the grain of the wood runs at an angle(top of wing at bend).

I'll post some pics later.

My first one flew great with the G62 but you have to fly it using rudder to make your turns look good, it is not a bank and yank type and I found you have to fly it right down to tuch down..

My first birds demise was do to a bad fuel line.
