Right now the car has been clocked at 93.3 mph, and will be officially documented this weekend, but I will also be going for 100+.

Enjoy!

Got any videos of your passes?

Not yet. The first time the car was clocked at 93.3 I was being told to leave the parking lot that I was at by Houston PD. He let me do two passes then I had to leave.

This Saturday video will be taken with radar again, and then posted for everyone to see. Since the pictures and last run, I have made some more minor modifications, so 100+ is expected...coming out in one piece is another story..

Here are a few quick pics and some info on my 4-Tec.

older .15 chassis, full sealed ball bearing kit, sway bar kit, luminum front shocks, Yokomo GT4 rear shocks..more parts on the way.

2.5R engine ported and polished, polished crankcase, modified crankshaft, CVEC tuned pipe, Yokomo GT4 header pipe (larger i.d. than the traxxas header), 30mm vented flywheel, vented clutch bell, both balanced.

62x26mm 40s foams in front, 62x30mm 40s foams in the rear

Right now the car has been clocked at 93.3 mph, and will be officially documented this weekend, but I will also be going for 100+. Have had zero issues with the car, yes it is still a pull start. I have raced 3.3 4-Tec's that have had a 10 to 15ft headstart and at the 60 ft mark they were being passed...and I still have some room for tuning and tweaking. Consistent temps of 240 to 250 deg.

Enjoy!

Gearing??

Nice build.

how much dose it cost to get a 3.3 modded, and how much of a differences will their be. Lets say the stock 3.3 was 6 out of 10, 10 being the best what would the modded 3.3 be maybe a 8/10?

Thax alot

This quote from trubodreamz23 he says his car will go 93 mph but yet he can still is faster then a 3.3 4tec. A modded engine wount make that much differnece will it. Is he betting 3.3 4tec because he got it geared for low speed and when hes going for the 90mph hes got it gear for higher speed?

No reason to modify when there's the OS .18 tz engine on sale...it will be faster and will cost you less.
