I have a 4-tec too. I wanna increase the top speed to really reach the 60mph. What part i need to upgrade? Please tell me the traxxas part number.

Status: offline 		all that you can do is change the engine becuse the clutch setup is built for the top speed the opitnal gears and spurs are for acceleration. do you have the 2.5 or .15?

Is it possible to increase the top speed with a tuning rezo? Or just the engine change is the solution?

I just got a nitro 4-tec- sweet city! Its crazy fast. But I have 2 handling problems-

1- I totally spin out on a parking lot surface! If I TOUCH the steering at speed, I do a full 360. I'm using stock shocks and springs and 50wt shock oil. I'm using venom hyper grip tires, but I heard the HPI X-pattern tires were good. Any one have suspension setup tips? I got sway bars, but I didn't want to try them just yet. Does anyone use a lot of front toe-in on the 4-tec?

2- there's a lot of slop in my steering. The steering doesn't always re-center itself when I let off the controller. I saw some post that recommended adding bellcrank bearings to make the steering more responsive- any other steering setup tips? This problem may or may not be related to the first...

any advice would be appreciated.

Status: offline 		just put in the 3.3pull start into my 4 tec and have no comp now upgaded opp gears and 3.3 race engine just need really good tires and im good even running with .20+ cars this car runns with right tunning what other engine fits in this beast so i can test it out..lol

Status: offline 		I have a RTR Nitor 4-tec for sale. Asking 200.00. It's pretty much brand new and doesn't even have a full gallon through. It's completely broken in and runs awesome and is in mint condition.
Just wondering if anyone here is interested.

Status: offline 		Ihave a 4 tec with the 3.3 in it and this thing really moves atleast once it stops spinning i have a race this weekend with a friend of mine who has a 4 tec with an os tz 18 who do you think will win?

Status: offline 		thanks i will check it out my friend with the os tz in his 4 tec crashed it now he wants to race me with his mugen car has an jp racing 12 on it i know i have more top speed but he hac one of those centac clutches in it holeshot is crazy.

Status: offline 		raced the mugen with the jp 12 on it today wasnt even a race my 3.3 was stronger on all the way through the power band. he is fixing the 4 tec with the os tz18 we will race again next weekend
