Status: offline 		Hi guys, I have a Super Tigre .45 ABC and in the manual says that the "biggest" prop suitable is a 11 X 6 ....but i want to try a 11 X 7 for more vertical power....is it dangerous?
i´ve heard that the engine could overheat, is that wright??

i´m flying a kwyk fly mkIII, wingspan: 1500 mm. lenght: 1300 mm

Status: offline 		I think you will find the 11x7 bogs the engine down to much, this engine likes to rev aa little.

Status: offline 		Going from a 11x6 to 11x7 theoretically gives you less vertical pull. The higher pitch (7) is for more speed instead of vertical. Maybe you should try a 11x4 for starters.

Status: offline 		I'm only helping because you live near Marcelo and CA Models. I am going to ask you to get me another Epsilon kit real cheap! Just kidding..... I am flying a Widebody now, building an Epsilon, and have 2 more for buiiding some time in the future.

I bought a 11x5, to try first...but it´ll rain the whole weekend!!
so i will tell you the results next week, also some pics of my kwyk fly

Status: offline 		I'm building the Epsilon 60 now and have the 40 on backorder. MY Widebody 40 is incredible. I've flown a WB 60 for a while. They are all fun to build and are very good pattern planes.

Sometimes, there are a lot of difference between something like the 11x5 and 11x6. There are too many reasons to predict how a certain prop will fly a certain plane. You just have to find the one that is best for your model and keep the props that don't work well. You may need to try something like an APC 12.25x3.75 for real vertical. This is a good vertical prop for .46 engines. It is a matter of putting one on and seeing how you like it. There are times that a prop will fly poorly and it doesn't make sense.
