Looks good Ray thanks. One thing I noticed is he doesnt have any stringers on his fuse formers. hows it hold together with a crutch? of course I guess I could always add them for the strength and to keep the sheeting from sagging in

The crutch count is pretty high, I would assume that sets off some of the need for stringers.

By the way, I will be selling my spinner, as I wont be needing it.

P7350 Mk1a

I built a little page of the full scale example. Any one across the pound have anymore pictures of this same airplane, I would love to add them for even more inspiration.

Hi Matt,

I had a kyosho spitfire before I started to get into the bigggg spits and from what i understand it is a mk-1, the plane flys very good and is very stable, I actually ripped all of the covering off and recovered it with a better material, but yes, fun.
Are you putting in retracts?.

Regards

Hi Ray,

Good to see you are building a spit, Yes it is good to get help from varios people around the world as I have found this to be an extremely useful tool, ( computer) especially when I am buiding a 1/3 scale spit of ml407. The people that have helped me with information has been incredible, but I suppose when we are talking about the same thing we can all relate to it.As I have promised I will put some pictures of my spit on here, good luck with yours.

Hey Norman,
Henry has been pretty stretched thin doing a lot of giant scale turbine work. I have been prodding him in hopes of getting to the Spit, alas there is lots of money to be made doing the turbines, so the Spit is on his back burner for now. In all honesty though, I would give Mick Reeves a look. His 1/4 scale fuse looks very scale. I would love to see one in person. And the pricing is pretty reasonable as well, considering that it has to come from across the pond. As much as I was trying to hold out for retracts from some one stateside, I went with Micks. They are a very sturdy looking set up. I personally am not fond of spring down air up type retracts, so I will send them out to be reconfigured for air lock up and down.

Morro,
looking forward to seeing your project as well.

Hey Ray,
Can you post pics on the Reeves retracts when you got a chance??\
Do they have the right angles and scale strut?
Thanks,
Jose

Jose,
I have not checked the angles out myself personally, but looking at pictures of other of his planes already built, I would say they are correct. I am sure that there is someone here that can give a more positive answer about them.

Ray,
I bet Lenny at Shindin could make you up a set. Guess it's too late now, but something to keep in mind down the road.
