The prices on MCD website is rather old i would guess, the king cobra's prices are right... that's the price 1743$ plus engine sound fair to me for a proline.

If you just want to bash around and have fun then a blackline should work just fine, just buy a blackline 510 chassis with that ford body and ad those sideplates (if you want them) and you good to go, and that will be cheaper then the proline.

In the end, it's as always what you want to put your money into, and how much... am i going to have fun with it, use it much, and how will i use it, durability, etc etc etc.
Btw, there is nothing wrong with having a blackline, you can always upgrade parts you want later on you will still have the good 4wd and basically the same car as a proline, just some stuff thats not aluminum.... at the moment you buy the car that is

I don't know much about the new proline model. but the blue line monster truck with hummer tires with center locked diff is the best driving rc truck around. I have the alloy gear carrier and the alloy 8mm 535 chassi as well. I also have a black line with front rear locked diffs center diff is open. very fun rock crawlling. There is know way a fg could fallow me. The mcd front hubs need some looking at. The tires and wheels need to be centered/turn on the rosejoint. So the wheels don't push themselfs. You turn right the left wheel pushes forward. and the right wheel pushes backward. they must turn/twist themselfs, not push themselfs. The truck also needs fourwheel disk brakes. the braking system stops the truck fine. But may damage diff parts if not very carefull. The use of disc brakes would give the truck better braking response and easier on the drivetrain. Fixing the front hub problem yeilds the use of so much servo power. and gives more turning power to the truck. and alot easier on the front steering system. there are quite a few bearings in the truck that add unneeded lbs. to lighten it, put ceramic bearings in. and change you'r brake throtal srevo to a 1/10 scale. also the hummer tire wiegh a 3rd of the monster tires.

The site is'nt updated. The new truck has added features, more alloy ,ball diffs, but not full alloy like the blue line was. MCD is going to have a hard time selling compare to the FG MT.

I am looking intp picking up the Proline version w/o engine and fitting a Sikk 29cc to it, it should make for a pretty stout piece.

I emailed MCD directly, and I will take it from there.

You have some real issues to deal with, please don't bring your brand loyal babble into this thread.

I don't own a FG MT, I own a FG Monster Beetle in case you did not check out my avatar or signature, I don't have to change manufacturers, I can afford any large scale RC I want, and I am buying a MCD in addition to my FG MB, so I will own both.

cya!

holy crap hit the currency converter in the top right corner of kevins sight. it's now over $2100.00. maybe that's with the engine but this thing keeps getting more expensive.

that's with engine. $1,771.00 without engine that's better. according to my bank account i've lost less than a 1/4 the weight i need to get the proline. i think it's time for a crash diet.
