4 inches back from the leading edge with an undetermined amount of lead under the engine. I am guessing somewhere around 6-9oz to get it to balance at that point with the SK .90 2 stroke engine I have installed in it. Its a sweet flyer now, but that first flight with it tail heavy was quite the handfull! So better be a little nose heavy to start and remove lead then to be tail heavy and have to ad lead if you can get it down in one piece.

I am currently finishing my 90/120 sportster, I installed a ST 2500 with a 18/ 6 prop. I hope the weight/balance is achieved without adding too much lead. My 60 SS was powered by a magnum 52 blue head and was a nice flyer but it required lead in the nose. I just picked up another 120 kit for 175 but they are getting scarce.

Thanks, Ray. 4" is a little in front of the 4 3/8" that Great Planes specifies, so I'll aim for your number for my first flights.

John
