Who else would like to see this as an event for all of us Profile nuts?
Let's throw this around a bit and see if it will grow wings!
We'll call it The "Tournament of Profiles"
Perry

UPDATE:
It's alive!
This is for the RC Profile nuts. We are in the works for the year 2003. We have plenty of sites that will Host this event (TOP), so chances are it will be coming to a field near you!
This event is going to be big, so go out and get plenty of practice!
NOTE: This will not be a heavy competition professional's only event. This event will not be by invatation only. This is for the rest of us everyday flyer's.

All skill levels of pilots can participate in the TOP. All it takes is a profile plane.
If you have any comments, suggestions, or would like to help, send us an email or post it here.

sure we could do that.

I think the OMP Giant Edge 540 is a good start. The smaller profiles would do just as well. Maybe this would spark an even Bigger Profile, say a 35%!

Great idea. No professional pilot except for demos ..Just open for the regular Joe.
Minimum rules. No sophisticated material or equipments.
Just pure enjoyment.

Sounds great after I get this IMAC event finished I will start planning this. The support from companies has been huge and I imagine the same would be true from Profile makers etc. I have recived kits, ARFs and a lot of other great stuff to give away already for the IMAC event!

Thanks

Phil,
This is exactly what I had in mind.
There seems to be allot of pressure at the "TOC". This is what we don't want with the "TOP". Let's make it FUN.

Thats starting to sound to big.there would be a couple or even one contacts in each state, then one person or group would be in charge of tallying all the totals and getting all the info together.plus what if there isnt enough people in a certin state to qulify?how about.....somone make a small program on the computer that list the rules and names with points system and totals so that if you can get a contest together, you can download it,run the event, fill in the info and upload it.this way no has to step up and be prez, which im sure would be more work than anybody whats to do just to have fun.should there be a minumum entry for local contest, like say 20 people to consider it a legal contest?how many at the toc......50 people?i vote for t.o.p. btw.tournament of profile.if you were invited to top would you have to fly a big profile?
just come ideas i was kicking around.

btw i think the profile brotherhood would probbaly domanat the first year.it seems like they all fly together.here im one of 3guys that 3d.i have no clue on whats out there.maybe somone will tape some local events and put them on here so we all have an idea on what going on in 3dprofile.
