If you want to play it safe turn the HSN 1/4 out, when the engine starts it's probably going to start spitting fuel. At this point you want to lean it out until the spitting stops, blip the throttle lightly a few times each turn until you get a whisp of smoke, put on the gound and run it up and down and check the temp. If the engine sounds boggy,lean it out some more. What you're trying to achieve is get the engine over 200 by leaning the HSN until the temp rises. This should take you about 3 minutes. Don't go so lean that you don't see smoke, smoke is your friend, it's the signal that you're getting enough lube.

I use foil to block the cooling fins if I have to break-in an engine during the winter months.

Status: offline 		I broke it in lastnight decided to run a full tank though it this morning it's still way rich but run's good never had it over 1/2 throtle yet lots of power . but dang it only shiffed a couple of time's then stoped but the nova got it going pretty fast for only 1st gear I really didn''t push it when it quit shiftng just ran the tank down it got to 261F.it was around 80 outside, I was running it on blacktop the street out front.




Skyodyssey I richend it up quite abit from factory setings about 3/4 of a turn at the start.
