Are there any nice 3d arf's that are capable of hovering out there? I'm looking for something nice that is more than just flat pieces of foam stuck together. I don't know where to look as I am just coming over from heli's!! Thanks!

If you're just starting fixed-wing aerobatics, you might want an EPP plane, bouncy and hard to break. We have the R3DMini which is a small-sized full-fuse EPP plane. HobbyLobby has a full-fuse EPP plane, and GP calls theirs a UCanDo 3DEP. So, yeah, there are some choices for first 3D planes that aren't flat. Also, hovering is getting pretty effortless with the newer brushed motors, and more and more people are flying EPP planes with almost 2:1 thrust to weight ratios.

well, the EF yak is more than flat peices of foam stuck together, its a whole bunch stuck together to make an a frame fuse, but still has a flat wing, it is a very very good plane... the R3D series have airfoils and are made of EPP flight flex foam, I've seen one crash about 50 times in one day, and it still flies without any problems or repairs, just put the prop/oring back on, and throw it in the air... the mini is relatively easy to fly indoors, the larger is probably harder, but i'm thinking its definitely possible... you can find the yak at www.horizonhobby.com , and the r3d's at www.3dhobbyshop.com
