Well then I am suprised in how strong Carson makes their plastics and how refined the product REALLY is. Its safe to say, XTM is Carson ModelSport. The only way i stumbled onto it was that Lightning picture, and then the fact that I recognized the XTM 1/8 buggy. Some Chinese company had asked me to distribute that car but then they found out XTM picked it up.

Now, why doesn't XTM go into R & D and make some good aftermarket parts? Or is XTM just a "rc company" who brings in someone elses cars, and sells them as their own?

Its a shame seeing XTM getting credit of how strong the truck is when in reality, its not a "XTM"...

Well guys, the truck has been added to my collection. Its the Racer Edition though, not RTR. We'll see how I can race this thing at a "pro" level here in minnesota.

You'll be surprised, its up to pro levels it just needs more gearing options and graphite parts to finish it off. It dosent need many hop-up, just aluminum rear hubs and arms.

ti turnbuckles. F the aluminum ones. Lunsford is the only way to fly.

my RC10B2 has had all Lunsford Ti turnbuckles for...lord...who knows how long and not one has failed. the RPM ballcups fail before the Lunsford parts, if that tells you anything.

I was honestly thinking to get what R9 had, jato style: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKMD6&P=Z No more dnf's due to " de de de " ball cups.

Are you talkin these? http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKXW5&P=7

depends, measure your turnbuckles first and make sure you can use the Associated length ones. does the X-C use standard (AE) or long shank (Losi) ballcups?

this is closer to what i'm running on the B2...but I couldn't find 'em for the B2. I'm running these with standard shank black RPM ballcups (not the super duty ones)

R9 ran with the rc10gt turnbuckles, so I assume they are the same. I also figured I'd run a GOOD exhaust on the truck: http://www.dynamiterc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=DYN6616 instead of the wide open pipe that comes stock with the racer. I like the quiet pipes, you dont need noise to say you have power.

I'm not a big fan of inline pipes on offroad cars. too many times i've hit somethin and stretched out the coupler springs, and then you're back at square one with it being loud:P

true, but it beats the little rubber hoses that connect them together, even though those are dirt cheap too.

Tbirdjunkie, do you have a x-c? or are you just helping make conversation? I got a good feeling i'm one of the very few on here, but very proud to own one

I have the roto start, and i will never go back to pull start again, your engine will start with 3-5 seconds, thats beats pulling, and priming the engine is so much easier now, deffently buy the roto start for the xc, or if you race get a starter box.

The rear suspension arms and hubs gotta go... I'm opting for the aluminum arms, maybe graphite hubs? Front hubs will be graphite evader, same goes for the arms and the steering knuckles.

I'm waiting for a letter from a comp to see if I can be sponsored by them (engines). Should find out by friday!
