true, but it beats the little rubber hoses that connect them together, even though those are dirt cheap too.

Tbirdjunkie, do you have a x-c? or are you just helping make conversation? I got a good feeling i'm one of the very few on here, but very proud to own one

I'm debating on whether or not I want to buy one, or another GT. the FT GT costs twice as much as an X-C racer, so that's helping make my decision, i think, LOL.

it wouldn't be my race truck though...i've already spent too much on my AD2 for that

Dude, ive got an x-cellerator with the proline masher 2000's, and it does like 60 at max, but the acceleration sucks. Have you guys noticed the lack of gearing options for it? I found that the mgt works nice though. Ive got the 49 tooth spur on order, cant wait for it.

Ha, you could have it geared even better. Get the XXXnt 51 tooth kevlar spur gear. That'll wake it up.

I got my sponsor today, Racer9, gonna be bolting in the STS engine. Thats what is going to be pushing my truck around the track.

Same with me, I just have to get some electronics with end-point.

For the price, the MX-3s is a hell of a deal. Synthensized, about 18 model memory i think... pretty good radio. I like it quite a bit compared to the Futaba 3 channels I have used.

Futaba 3PM.

I was thinkin about getting a new radio. I was also thinking about getting a Spektrum, and swapping its guts into my old JR XR3 so I can get rid of the cheesy look/feel of the Spektrum

too many newer versions of the 2.4ghz technology coming out at once. Not to mention that the radios that come stock with it aren't comfortable to hold one bit. I prefer a fatter radio grip for my long fingers everyone pokes fun at.

Yeah dude, I heard that. I am going to wait Until I can score a pretty good 3ch job with at least 3 model memory with a couple of receivers for under $200, and then I'll pounce. I have seen the Grey and orange one, I think it is actually Spektrum brand, but I want to get a futaba, or A Hitec.. if they make an agressor with the 2.4ghz I'm in

Arent you a member at XTM Forums too? This is rccars411.

One hell of a radio is the MX-3S made by Airtronics. Synthensized, and can be picked up for about 170 bux.

ThunderbirdJunkie, throw up some bucks and pick up a Racer edition. Ez to beef up, and its cheaper in the end compared to the other ST's on the market.

I'll stick with my cheap Futaba:P

and also...don't worry...i've got two cars comin in the next week. one will give up the engine for the other, and you'll probably like the first car that gives up its engine once i'm done with it

Hello, I have a xcellerator that has been stuck in the garage for a year due to the rear hub breaking and the brake disk stopping the flywheel.

After reading here and www.racernine.com some I feel much better and will try some things, I found XX rear hubs that fit and have good geometry

Losi spur gear
hpi roto start .21 savage
associated springs? know which ones?
Losi Body? which one?

Does any thing else fit from other lhs avail trucks esp diff parts and arms?

Thanks

gac, any XXXNT body should work. IIRC (don't hold me to this) but the diff is the same size as an Associated 2.60:1 (rc10 B3, T2, T3, T4, B4, and GT) transmission, the diff balls will almost definitely interchange, and i'd personally just swap to the whole AE diff for simplicity of parts interchange (assuming it's the same size as the X-C diff-somebody tell me the OD of the diff gear and the outdrives, i'll measure some AE parts and find out)

as far as LHS parts...Wouldn't know. my LHS stocks more XTM parts than Losi or AE. You might wanna just go ahead and order some spares, but from what i've seen (guy I kinda know owns one-don't hold me to it, it might just be his driving) you DEFINITELY want the aluminum hub carriers.

double plus thanks!

I did try the associated 2.60 rings/balls in the xtm gear b/c the diff came crunchy when new, but the rings and balls are ever so slightly different sizes from the assoc bits. If the whole assoc diff fits that would be awesome!

I will try those things out.

Later
