is the tail boom slightly glued to the main frame of the blade heli so it does not twist? My tail hit the ground slightly and now the boom twists, I can only assume horizon slightly glued it becuse I can find no other way to attach it without it twisting.

I just encountered the same problem yesterday. I haven't yet bothered to glue it or anything. I would say so they did glue it on the inside a little bit. I might as well go do that.

Actually yes, I'm new to this hobby. Although I don't have a Blade, I have Walkera Dragonfly 4, which is a good helicopter after minor modifications. Basically the tail rotor system on the Blade is the same as my helicopter.

CA (small drop) the tail. Have some debonder for when the boom breakes so you can remove it.
The almost always drift while attempting to get off the ground. If it still drifts at about one to one and an half
feet off the ground and the right/left trim has not affect, you have an adjustment problem in leveling the
swash plate in line with the heli frame, fore and aft and side to side. moving the trim should tilt the swash
from level. FYI the heli does not hang in the air straight up and down like a plumb bob. It hangs at a slight
angle (the reason for the drift just priot to lift off).

One other thing worth mentioning, is that when you reattach the tail boom. Make absolutly sure that the tail rotor is perfectly lined up vertical. If its tilted or canted, it will make the heli almost un-flyable.

I balanced the blades so that both of them weigh the same, and balanced the fly bars, so both sides are even as well. Also I should mentioned that my flybar is 1 inch shorter than stock because it broke off, so I evened the edge with sand paper, and fitted it back on so that each sides are even.
