Hello John,
How are you?
Is the Seiko 50 a good choice for the 40% YAK Rudder?
Thanks for my invoice.

Hello,

I know people has used them. However I have no personal experience with them. You may want to post the question in the Giant forum to see who has practical experience with that servo.

Thanks
John

Marcelo,

A friend has this servo on his giant Comp-ARF Yak. I ran 4 8411's on my Yak. He definitely has more power than four 8411's - you can literally stand the plane up on it's side with the rudder. However, I don't think this servo centers as well as the digitals. We're constantly trimming the rudder when flying sequence stuff. But for 3D, you can't beat that power. So I guess it depends on what you want from the plane.

Hello Pete,
Thanks for your information.
I bought my Seiko and I will try it,I am not an expert flyer and for Sundays flights it will serve me.
I will use my 3W 200 B2 on my Aerotech YAK also I decide to go with three JR8611A per each aileron and two of them for each elevator?
Is your YAK from Aerotech also?
Did you fly it or not yet?
Couldn“t you put some pics from yours?
Regards,
Marcelo

I don't have my Yak kit yet - John told me it should arrive by Christmas. I was flying the Composite-ARF 3.3meter Yak 55SP, until the motor quit in a torque roll.

Hello Pete,
I am sorry for your loosing.
What was your setup for the composite YAK 55?
I am sure that you will enjoy the YAK kit from Aerotech, mine is almost all foam parts sheeted and the fuse is framed up. It is very ease to be built.
Regards,
Marcelo

I think you'll like the seiko.. yes it does have some recentering issues, but I think it shows up when you power it up, but stays good until you power it down and up again... just my experience. i will use nothing but from now on. besides...4 high torque digital: $400 nice servo tray: $100 servo programmer $100, one seiko 50 with large servo arm: $230... ease of setup... priceless
