Hey Lee, I thank you as well, some of your posts made me think twice on assembly of my model,
I am a first timer with Giant scale gas , and I really appreciate all the input and help you guys have given!!

More importantly, I really think when you fly this model, it will turn some skeptics into believers.

John , Thankyou for your design and patience on this Kit!

Anyway, I am very excited this week as it is also my first trip to Joe Nall, The truck is being packed and we are on the way early Sat morning. 13 hrs later , I hope to be meeting a lot of you guys!!

Just look for the big Canadian Flag, and drop by and say Hi

Sincerely,

Dave............

Hello,

No problem. The plane flies very much like the 35% and 40% versions we have. We are debating the next size or version of this 50cc. Stay tuned and I look forward to meeting you guys at Joe Nall.

Thanks

John

Wish I could make it and meet you all in person.

Maybe next year.

Have a great time, and be sure to let us all know how it goes.

Cheers!

whaturi,

Just give them a call during the week. He will (john) fix you up pretty quick. Also just go to Aerotechs web site if you want the manual. I also forgot to give you the C/F wing tube. I'll have that for you also. It's a lot lighter than the stock one

BTW...your welcome, enjoy it. Maybe you can get Annabelle to give you a hand if you decide to strip it .

I'm charging the Ultimate, Extra and 4* as I write this and pan on replacing the elevator hinges on the Showtime in a few minutes and charging it. Hopefully the rain will hold off for a while tomorrow so I can get a chance to abuse something. If so maybe I'll catch you at the field tomorrow or Sunday

Why don't you think about an engine that actually exists?

basinbum, you are sharp. i was thinking of it because i don't yet have the money to set this plane up, and i thought maybe by the time i did, that engine would...exist.

whaturi,

Don't be hugging the plane tonight , Anna will make me take it back..

He has plenty of time to decide on an engine. This guy is really good for the amount of time he has flown. He could easily be the next Barry Fink, Pete Castine, Jason Shulman or Bill Hempel if given the chance and the right plane.

He just got the right plane given to him for free which also gives him the chance. A bunch of us want to see him with a plane like this and have talked about it a bunch of times, he'll be unstoppable in precision and freestyle, we all know how light this thing flies and in his hands it will be incredible and when he is ready and if the BME55 is out, it will be a great match for this plane. At 18lbs, the DA50 flies it well.

He has one rule, when he is done with it and it is still flyable he must pass the airframe on for free to someone he feels desrvers it and the only thing I asked him for is to fly it one time after he gets done doing what he is planning on to "feel" the improvements.

For those of you that remember, up until recently, I ran a very popular thread here call Pay it Forward. This "transaction" follows the purpose of that thread very well

Hey Bill:

I flew mine for the first time last week. Other then some fit and finish issues, I'm very pleased. I'm at about 17lbs Dry, with the DA50, and there's plenty of power, and the plane is very stable. Good luck to your flying mate there. I think your going to wish you held on to that one, despite the fits.

Cheers!
Lee

Lee,

I saw your report. I agree it does fly great and never doubted that for one minute. He was going to actually buy it from me in a few months but I was given a very good opportunity this week which will give me more Giant Scales planes than I'll know what to do with, a Yak is included in the deal. That being said, I decided he could just have it for nothing.

Hey Bill:

Sounds like a good deal for everyone all around. Good luck to you all. Maybe we will get to meet some time anyway.

Take Care,
Lee
