Hello,

I will address each one for you.

1. Are the supplied BB clevises for the horns in American or Metric sizes (i.e. for 4-40 or 3mm thread)? I will check, but I use the supplied cleviises and have work very well to date.
2. I would like to employ titanium turnbuckles where possible for a slick and lightweight setup. I will shop around from the RC car shops, but I need to know rod lengths for the elevator and aileron linkages plus the info from. I will ask Probuild. I sent them the prototype last July for them to fly.
3. What size wheels are needed? 3-3.5" wheels
4. What is the approximate required length of the pull-pull wires for the rudder? (I will try Kevlar here, so I need this measurement to avoid buying more than I need- expensive!) Give yourself 42" per side to allow for a little overage.
Also, some other Q's....

5. What is the tube diameter and length for the tail feathers ? Is it aluminium? Its a glass carbon tube like the Velox
6. Are the elevator servos mounted within the stab halves or in the fuse for the production version (this plays a role in pushrod-end type selection). I see that the prototype has them on the fuz. Same as the prototype
7. I understand the main wing tube is 1" aluminium. Is the ~1" an approximate measurement or the diameter is really in Metric units (25mm)? What is the tube length (I will look around for a carbon one). 1"
8. I am gonna use Chip Hyde's Quiet Pipe with my DA50 plus a KS-made ~8-10" long header. Will this combo fit the tunnel (width AND length wise) without hitting the LG plate or tunnel walls? I have no experience with Chips Pipes

Thanks

John

Guys:

That's just how these things work. They do there best to estimate, but it's not an exact science.

Lots of steps along the way that can add a week or two delay each step.

Somes times things coincide to byte you. ;-)

Cheers!

Hello,

I wish we like other manufacturers we had control over the shipping. But once its on the boat. The boat can make a stop or stops to pick up loads stay an extra do two or three days with each stop while the frieght is getting ready. They are like a trucking company. They want the ship full. Once they hit our shop all orders will leave 24-48hours later no more. We thank all who have preorders. .

Thanks

John

Hi John,

I am on the waiting list for the Yak, and I don't mind waiting. I know the quality of your products, and is well worth the wait. I am shopping for a powerplant for the Yak and need some clarification.

On the web page the picture of the Yak that shows the engine box without the engine shows the carburetor and standoff holes already cut. I suppose this is only in the prototype. The kits, are they coming without any holes in the engine box? I am looking to install one of the new Evolution 58GX engines, and plan on using a canister muffler. The canister muffler header is a straight one, and it will require the engine to be mounted approximately 35 to 45 degrees clockwise from the 180 position. That means the standoffs, and carburetor hole must be rotated that same amount. Would that be a problem?

Also the Evolution 58 is about 1 pound heavier than the DA-50. In your estimation, can the CG be kept inside the limits by shifting batteries? Thank you in advance to any feedback to my questions.

Is the spinner supplied in the kit? If not, do you have any in mind that will look right on the Yak?

Just in case y'all haven't found out yet the Yaks are in customs now and it looks like they'll be at Aerotech shortly.
