I was wondering where you were RT. I have been sick and grouchy lately, better today. The Scorpion HK2028-28 is excellent for the 36 with a 12t pinion. I'm set up for 2300 rpm at 80% throttle. I got a 22% reduction in current draw, down to about 870mah in 9 minutes of pretty wild sport flying. The motor/esc comes back barely warm and the battery barely above air temp. I can get a little run and just a push of collective and elevator and it's up a hundred feet. The JGF 400DF definately torques better, if not for battery voltage sag at the end of the flight, I wouldn't need governor mode for it. The HK2208-28 sags a bit and just doesn't seem to deliver the instant torque the 400DF does. The 400DF averages about 1100 mah in 9 minutes on the same 670g DF36. The Scorpion has the delicate motor windings for leads, the 400DF has heavy duty wires. I already broke a Scorp lead when trying to unplug it from the esc to reverse wires. Either one is fine for me. Well, remember that orange MX400 I crashed on my first day of sickness when my cold made my eyes blur and I lost it ? It's been rehabilitated and is now bright yellow. I sanded and painted it. Factory quality paint job except for two little runs , but they are shrinking. I did the weight, CG , and balance by Bob White's video on Helifreak.com on a pair of Walkera 280mm foam blades and I have them on the MX400 for now. It is smoother than ever, I never did the weight/CG step in balancing, but will always now. I also put a strip of scotch tape along the leading edges to be sure they don't fly apart. My guess is air gets into the seams and blows them up into separating. The 36 is still flying ok. I decided to put the CP2 belt mod on hold awhile. I need a better gyro, 4 servos, blades, canopy and AR6000 to finish it permanently. I think the MX400 and DF36 are going to be ok. The CP2 is too light for this windy hill top. CH
