Chophop, I drill the holes a little bigger and put some hex srews all the way through the frame. I than cut off the left over. You may be able to see them on the frame at the tail bloom in the picture.

BH, where do you get your lipo battery from. I'm looking for some cheap but good lipo.

If, do not get the EXI450. I'm going to try the walkera cnc head. Just got to wait until it comes from Hong Kong, which I hate to do.

Look on this page for batteries. Rollin Thunder had a bad time with some Mystery batteries, but that was last year when about all cheap lipos were failing. I had good luck with the 900mah's so I got one of the 1500 mah 3 cells to test. The 36 seems to like the 130g 1800 12C I have, so I want to try a 1500 15C that is about 115g. When it gets windy, I put the 150g 2100's in.

BTW, I hear those blades are sort of floppy. I got a set of these below and LOVE them.

What ever happened to RT ? Sort of disappeared after his last big crash. Probably has a Raptor 90 .

If anyone wants the cnc head from Walkera,be careful. They are very sloppy.Mine came apart at a hover and had a tail boom strike.Never was good.I used blue loctite on everything possible.I went back to the stock head with better luck.My next head upgrade will be a different helicopter.

An anti rotation pin system for the washout base will extend the head life to hundreds of flights, at least for rough sport flying. Not sure of 3D wear. The washout base is too loose and allows the arms to beat around. Latch that WOB in and maybe at the least Trex plastic grips, I use metal grips. Blade slop is very slight compared to non mod.
If you can find Shogun V2 parts, there is a factory AR mod that should fit the 36 with no mods.

You know, I just looked at my beard and thought, I have to shave my razor so I can shave my beard. Time for rest.

I get my batteries from Hobbycity. They got all kinds of them. Chop, RT must have followed Helismith into nitro land. Probably got a Trex 600n or somthing. I got two nitros now but I still love my little electrics!
    drobin,
Your're correct! I had to CA the screws into the alloy head after two crashes. The loctite just wouldn't hold. The alloy is very soft and just won't hold threads.

Hi Guys, I just might go on and get the EXI heli. Just to have that size and type of heli. I'm going to keep the 36, all I would need is ESC, RX, and Brushless motor.

    Go for it!
Once you get it set up you will love it but a ccpm heli is much harder to setup. My Comet is sitting until I can get better servos for it as I just can't get it to fly correctly with the servos that I have.

    Good luck!

BH, is the comet interchangable with some align450 parts. I see one for $79.99 on rc-expert.com. Is that a normal price for them. I just want a bigger heli where I can get parts from my LHS. Where did you get your Comet from?

    Ebay,
The Comet is a Trex clone that is a little bigger than the 450. It uses the same head, tail and most drive parts. The frame is bigg
