This is just my opinion but I've found that on a Heli the size of the 36 outrunner motors tend to rub on wiring and things. This is the reason I like the 430L.

    To each their own though.

Just make sure all near the can is tied down. I use Kroger plastic dental floss . Very strong, it can cut your finger befor you can break it. That HK2208-28 is worth it. It's like getting a free 22% more lipo for me.
And I CA'd a 3mm CF rod across the bottom of the battery tray to be sure the battery doesn't slide into the can.

Sorry Junkz0r I totally dig the Align 35A ESC and it has a heat sink to boot !!! And it's pretty easy to program along with being compatable. There are so many motors out there and I have not bought one for a heli in quite a wile, But once again you cant go wrong with the Align motor and it's pretty cheep.
    Cheers Mate

Junkz0r, look on ebay for the align motor. I found some for about $50.00 with the align 35amp esc. You can't go wrong with that. I just order a 430L fro LHS for $50.00 without the esc. I'm currently working on a heli not Walkera, it is a EXI 450 I just got.

I have been that route. Better reconsider the Scorpion HK2208-28 ($32) and 12t pinion. They even have a 2 year warranty. Try that with Align. If you get it from Horizon Hobbies, you get a 1 year warranty on Align motors. The 430L's are about 60g and the Scorpion HK2208-28 V1 is 41g, the HK2208-28 V2 is 44g.

    Hi Guys,

The 36 has been sitting on the shelf for a while after a gravity problem..

So its back together now however Im having issues with pitch/throttle curves.

Im running a 430L align motor and Jr radio gear.
+9 0 -9 is mechanically what the pitch is setup to.
    Pitch curve 40 - 50 - 100
    Throttle curve 0 - 75 -80

With the above setup the heli is at full throttle and is only just light on the skids.

    Any advice?

    Cheers

    Brett

Are you sure that you are getting +9 degrees of pitch? You can dial in more pitch sooner but it should be flying now with +9 and 80%. Check the pitch servo.

Checked the pitch and one blade was 3 degrees off. There was a ball joint on the blade holder bent and loose so replaced that and its all sweet now. I was just being lazy...

I was going to sell it off however now its flying sweet I dont think that I can part with it as it has been a good heli to me.

    Cheers

The reason that I keep flying my 36 is that it flys great and I can repair it easier than the comet or the Nitro birds so I'm much braver and carefree with it. Also it was my first real Heli and I'm quite attached to it.
