It's configured for 90 degree, although the swash plate has the ball links for 120 degree also.

    Hi!

Right, in getting all excited about helicopters since my dad got a really cheap one which hardly flys, but still its good fun. I have been hearing all bad things about walkera helicopters and im not sure what to do, i really like the look of the walkera dragonfly 36 with brushless motor which seems very good value and just within my small budget.

I know that the walkera 35 is supposed to be total rubbish (apparently), but is it worth risking it and buying a 36? or is is going to be more trouble than its worth?

can someone give me some help as i cant make a decision and its starting to drive me crazy, lol, keep reading and reading everything on the internet and just cant decide what to do

    Thanks, hope someone can help

most #36 dont even fly for over a min..
mine reached 2 inches once and doesnt take off..

i donno if its the batteries or the heli itself..
the best thing u can do is buy a t-rex..

they seem to be the best so far..(from what ive heard)

    Hi Stoogy,
Tnx for the info on dip switches...Now I got my new brushless motor..it is a carbon fiber casing 3200kv from rc-expert...the pinion exactly matched the main gear,,,,and IT WORKS... the original motor is really shorted..it made my esc and battery damaged...I am now working on the adjustments...I find it hard to adjust the tail rotor...it keeps on rotating clockwise when it reaches not more than 6 inches off the ground......

Unless you have actually tried flying every #36 that exists, don't make such broad judgments on them!

If yours reached only 2 inches you probably have not configured it properly. Don't expect the Heli to fly perfect straight out of the box.

When properly configured (with only stock parts, brushed motor, and standard NIMH battery) I can get my #36 to hover for about 4 minutes.
Having said that I would recommend using LiPos & a good charger though, for more power and run time (around 10 minutes).

I have 2x Walkera supplied 1500mah 11.1V LiPos and they have worked fine for me so far.

Phillip0101 - The #36 is much like the #35 but with a belt drive tail that overcomes the main problem with the #35. The motor and Rx are in different positions on the #36 too. My #36 has been good value so far, but you need to be patient and have a bit of knowledge to make sure it is setup right. I will gradually upgrade my elecronics, but it works fine for now.
