Got my new charger in today. Took the 2200 mah that came with my #36 and did a full low amp charge. Only would give me 1400 mah and it took 3 hours to charge. There is no way the charger that came with it was fully charging it and it just ticks me off that they clam it was 2200 mah. The charger I got was the Duratrax Ice seems to do a good job. Just waiting now on my new Li-Po.

Balanced my blades yesterday and Gezz that made a difference with the old girl. Thanks aurora799 for the advice on blade tracking. I havn't attempted it yet but hope to give it a try in a few minutes.

Is anyone not using the heading lock? I read in one of the threads where someone suggested not to. Whats the advantage of using / not using heading lock?

I agree about setting things up first before you try to hover. But I would like to make an observation. All of these manufactures of these great little machines are responsable for helping in this department as well. If you are going to made sometrhing as complex as one of these heli's you should also accept the responsability to give a very good set of instructions on setting up your product. I am very new to this part of the hobby and am tryiing very hard to learn as much as I can. I purchased a Walkera 36 Z400 without a radio set up. Now when I received my order the company did not even put the regular directions in the package. I know I can go to a web site and get this, but this should be the responsibility of the manufacturer. I can't wait to fly mine, but I have got to go out and find what I need to set this up right again something the manufacture could have done. And in doing it right would probly sell more of thier product thru word of mouth about such good directions. I understand the manufacture of the T-REX gives a complee set of instructions. I know money is the game but we as hobbiest should draw the line on what we are willing to take from someone who sell this equipment and give better instructions. The people who distribute this should demand it of their manufactures. I am sure their are people out there who will say forget it they will never do it. No they won't not until we as the buyer stop supporting them until they do it right. This is only my humble opinion. I hope I did not offend anyone in my statement becaues that is not my intent, it is only to make aware of the problem and get the right people involved to do something about it.
    Thank you
    Joe

Does anyone know the part number for the one-way bearing? I think it is HM036-026 the Unilateralism bearing. When the copter gets warm it starts slipping. Will I need to replace a gear also?

    Hi,
I just got my damaged 22E yesterday.
I bought a damaged 22E for trial (and probably error) for $30.
I only need blades , blade nips and a wobbler to get it to fly.
The other parts look OK and the radio works fine.

In about a month my 36 will arrive.
I hope that I can absorb as much knowledge as needed in this forum , which I have been reading for a while now.

Then I don't have to ask questions that have been answered a couple of times before.... (about batteries, chargers etc...)

Well got to fly her today. I don't have a li-po yet but with the new charger I got a good full charge in the nicads. Was a little windy today but this thing is pretty stable. I think all the work on the sim really help though. I had it up to about 7 feet a few times. Thats the good times. LOL well here is the bad. I was fighting some strong wind at one point and had to bring her down. The wind slowed down and I spun her up for liftoff. All of a sudden it pushed to the leftt front and almost flipped. I countered and all is good. Thought to myself what the heck was that.

Well I started up again and had it up about a foot and it did it again but this time it was a crash. Took out a set a blades and ripped off the rear stabilizer fin. I fixed the stripped screws with some Krazy glue and put on some new blades.

I checked it over and don't see any damage. Removed the blades and with just the paddles on checked for any bent shafts. Question though. I was reading where some are having issues with their Speed control overheating and shutting off. I didn't lose rotor but more of a receiver glitch. Does anyone have any suggestions what may have caused it? I considered cell phones since I read that someone said they crashed when their cell phone received a call. Could it be related to receiver / speed control mix and I'm getting some kind of glitch from it? Makes me think so since I was flying for 3 or 4 minutes with no issues.

From what I've seen and read. The ESC can be plugged into the throttle channel.. That is what they are doing for brushless motors. Just do some searching in the forums its full of good info.
