Status: offline 		I have a GP fabric covered ARF Cub(81" span Saito 72 power) and am about to fly with scratch built 42" floats-I`ve never flown with floats before and would like to know some of the methods for controlling the float rudder(rudders)-Can you add control rods or cable powered by tail rudder ?Also ,what is a good way to mount floats and should the original balance point of plane be the same as when flown with wheels?

Status: offline 		Wulfmann, Do some searching here on RCU.. Look through a bunch of past posts, even if not about the Cub. Alot of info here on the Seaplane Forum.
I found just about everything I needed here, It takes some reading, but worth it. And guys will help ya along for sure.
Here's a few minor things.
1. Yes the CG stay's in the same place.
2. Make sure the floats are the rite lenght, and the float step is placed in the rite spot to the CG.
3. Many ways to hookup a rudder. (cable from the rudder servo seems the most common.)
4. Make sure you have enough power for the added weight of the floats.
5. Have Fun

Status: offline 		And you may have to add vertical fin to keep longitudinal
stability since the floats are like another fuselage.
Cub is less stable longitudinally than others for it's small
vertical stabilizer even with no floats.
