Take care,Sam

LOL

most of these kits are 45.00 or somewhere there about.
I found a place that sells them for 34.99 (mailordercentral.com) or something like that......

hehehe

Specs: Wing Span: 36", Engine Size: .051 - .10 2 Cycle, Required Radio: 2-4 Channel

I figgure it should fly very scale like with my .061 thinking of fiberglassing the whole thing too ............... not only will it fly scale but it will also have a "scale finish"!!!!!

wish I had a 5 channel flash radio , I would go for retracts too ...

Been doing some snooping over at the E-zone and have learned that these kits build realy heavy, so that is something to take into consideration- and one of thoes electric guys actualy said it would be better suited to a "wet" plane.

I am excited, one guy from netherland actualy installed the robart 1/2a retracts in it- how cool is that!?????! it was too heavy for ROG but I know now what he did'nt know!

I am excited and prepared!

Well I have taken the liberty of showin all of you fine fellows that may or may not be interested in seeing this Netherland's Bonanza.

here is a link to the entire thread: House of Balsa Bonanza with retracts

And here are the pics should you not want to look at the entire thread.........

Gear UP..........

Gear DOWN......

Now, I know most of the building secrets of this paticular plane (I think) Lots, and Lots of snooping and research-

CF webbing, spars, mat cloth, and everyother thing I can do to this airframe to make it light I WILL DO!!!!!!

I am on a Mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(sent him an e-mail to find out more about thoes retracts too.

Notice the nose wheel does'nt fit quite right? remember that plane is an Electric he has motor and batteries up there......

gear doors? MABEY.......... lol

I need to know what type of servo he uses for his retract servo...

ok, later

L.R.

now, what Cirrus servo's to pick out ( must be tiny enough to fit within the wing, but be powerful as well) not spending over 21.00 either...... (so I am a little cheap) I do things on a budget- like most of us out here.........

I will keep a photo diary on here as building progresses.....

thoes Electric jet guys use thoes CS 21's for tailerons in jets, that has got to be a big statement for them as a whole......

ok, I will quit rambling now!

Glad to see some one stays up at 0:dark thirty like myslef whom cant sleep due to back problems-! (and I just turned 25 lol)

any how, If I am lucky I might start destruction of this fine aircraft around the middle to end of next week.

think I may be ordering Plane, servo's, and possible retracts today or tomorrow.

although I have more pressing matters to attend today before I leave for therapy..... I have a 58" saberjet wing that needs fiberglassing!

cheers!

I have built the V35 for a Norvel .061. With fixed gear, CS21's, and a 400x4 NiMh rx pack, I got it to 22 ozs. It is almost all sheet, so some weight reduction is definantly possible, mine was most all stock. I wouldn't find it unreasonable to be able to get it 20 oz with the retracts, but it would take a little work. It goes together well, but it looks too good for me to fly it. I also can't seem to find anybody who has flown one to tell me what to expect. So for now it hangs at the local airport on static display

Beenie, that is VERY, VERY helpful, thank you very much-

was 22Oz the complete weight with motor mount, fuel tank, gear and radio equipment?

What did you use to cover the model? Monokote, econokote, etc??

I am pretty sure I am going to Glass the model as I believe I can do it lighter, we all know that it will look better, and is stronger, and takes more time... YUCK~~~~~~ :

but it will be worth it.

how are your CS 21 servo's holding up? how do you have them mounted? and what control surfaces are they on? might you have any pics of them in the aircraft? (that would be great some type of size reference)

I plan to build them into the wing for a more "scale" look
is there any pics by chance you can show me of the build up?

or of the instruction manual?

I am gonna spend some $ on Carbon fiber and graphite to lighten it up where I can. is it possible to buy a "wing kit" for this plane does any one know?

thanks again- very helpful
