Cool, I'll use the 1100mAh.

Going to pull the G38 off tonight and get ready for the new motor.

What type of kill switch are you using on these motors? I was thinking of just using a servo operated switch between the ignition battery and the ignition unit. Will this work without getting radio interferance?

I didn't get into it yet but I think I will shut down mine with the carburetor (close it).

Thats fine, but I like to have two ways incase the throttle servo fails or you have to stop it in a hurry. Save you having to fly around for 30 min before you run out of fuel.

You can use kill switch like great planes have or an optic kill switch (smart-fly)
You can also shut it down with the choke if you will run a servo for it.

Yeah I'm not sure exactly what I'll use yet. I'll have a look around and then make a decision. Have used and bigger props on yours yet?

Thanks crrcpro,

Do you know who will be stocking the spares?

Tooly,

I am planning on running fuel at 40:1. Using castrol TTS racing synthetic oil. The motor I am getting has been run for a while on 25:1 klotz synthetic oil. Also crrc pro recomends a 22x8 prop.

big sport,

Leave the gap as it comes, unless you have problems.
The original plug I got was Torch BM6A, the second engine that was is stock had something else unknown, I still testing plugs, from my exprience with 2 stroke, Denso are the best for mixture, but I found that the replacement denso didn't work good (tried one hot and cold) because it was with projected tip, this weekend I will try NGK and Champion.
I ran mine with semi synthetic at alsmot 1:20 for more than 3 hours, had to close the low needle 1/4 turn to get a smooth run, I made a new mixture of 1:33, no hurry to 1:40 synthetic yet.
No doubt the this engine need a bigger prop, I follow the manual and bought something smaller than the recommended 20x10, I believe this engine will turn even 22x10 without a problem after 12-20 hours of running.
CRRC-PRO sent me some photos of the engine mount in some models and videos, and I didn't motice any problem with the carburetor hanging against the wind, more than that, one photo show the carburetor mount inverted so the needles are down and the metering plate is against the incoming air.

I guess I won't know if there will be any problems until it is it the air. I will run a 20x10 for a while longer as it hasn't had a lot of run time. I think the motor I'm getting has a champion plug in it at the moment. I do have a NGK in my zenoah, I may try that to and see if there's any difference. I think 40:1 synthetic will be ok, I will just run a little rich for a while. Once the engine has had some time on th
