yeah i did and it weight a bit much for a 40-60 size plane... 7.7 bls.. that's a bit much i don't think my engine will have the power to pull that thing out of a hover

Box error, there very light and fly superb on a saito 70 and are ballistic on a 91 2 stroke!

The landing gear holds up great as long as you do not do a hard landing. I suggest converting the metal landing gear bolts to nylon ones, so you don't tear the bottom of the plane off in case the gear does break loose.

In mine, I'm running a Thunder Tiger .91 4-stroke, so a 100 will most likely be fine. I knew another person in my club that had a UCD with a Saito 100 Golden-Knight.

yeah, but i am one mile above sea level so what i orignally thought was the harrier 90 would hover at 85% w/ the super tiger 90 but wouldn't do it up here. is there any way to reenforce the landing gear before it tears out, because i want to keep a new plane the way it is for a LONG TIME.

Then it would be perfect for a .91.

yeah, but i'm selling this engine and get a four stroke... i've never had a four stroke before and it sounds like they are more fuel efficient and run a lot better.... i'm looking at the UCANDO right now.. i got to get more information on it...

what plane would you recommend that would do all out 3D and would be ready to fly w/ everything inside except reciever for $500 or less?

Just something for you to think about. I have many different planes and the UCD as well the fusealage where the wings join in at is where you will eventullay break it at. I like the powerlines edge because it has plug in wings a full fusealage and a alluminum jioning tube. i find this stronger IMO. You say thet they have a bad covering job........well that is false it is a superb job better than my UCD. I like to fly planes that 3-D and look like a real plane not some cartoon looking... well you get the point. When you will be showing off in front of your freinds trust me with the powerlines edge you will have something that they will remember. No i don't work for them or have any thing to do with them this is my second plane from powerline my first was the 27% edge,...AND I LOVE IT!!!

Out of the box the U-Can-Do's landing gear section comes very strong. Like I said, the landing gear will most likely come off with a hard landing only. The way the U-Can-Do floats in on landing makes it almost impossible to have a hard landing, though. On the end of the fuse where the tailwheel connects, there is a very strong balsa block that makes it so you don't rip the rudder off in case the gear does come off, also, which is very nice.

The UCD is also very stable for pattern flying, (that is what I mainly do with it), although with wind, it will get a little bouncy due to its wide wing.

Also, you could probably get a U-Can-Do with a .91 4-stroke for around $350 at the most. Trust me, when you get a 4-stroke you will never go back to 2-stroke.

I was very happy with the way the UCD is built, and how it came out of the box -- almost no wrinkles! I also liked the ease of assembly and the "paint scheme."

Hope this helps you determine your next plane,

Garret H

and GARRET H... i see you live in FORT COLIN COLORADO.. where do you fly? as for the engine for the UCANDO i heard from a good friend of mine that live in CO that the SAITO 100 would hover that plane at haft thottle easily... so what engine did you used for the UCANDO?

I belong to the Rocky Mountain Modeleers in Fort Collins and also to Love-Air out of Loveland.

I currently have a Thunder Tiger .91 four-stroke on my U-Can-Do. It offers plenty of power for the plane. Hovering is no problem.

As for the landing gear breaking off... You can float the plane into the runway so slowly that you hardly ever have a hard landing. Like I said previously, I use nylon bolts for the gear, so in case the gear does break off, it does not cause very much damage.

Garret H the thing about four strokes is there louder and have a less effiecnt power to weight ratio over a two stroke and dont have the throttle response of a two stoke either. Two strokes are much better at 3d in my opinion. I've had top end four strokes (A YS 1.20, a YS 1.40, and a YS 91) I HATE THEM WITH A PASSION!! i switched my YS 1.40 to a ST 2500 on my zimpro ultimate 10-300 and it flew much better, then i further upgraded to a 3000 and now the thing is ballistic. a 1.40 has nothing on a good old big two stroke! the 1.20 i had in a stinger 60 and it was ok, but once i switched to a st 91 that flew better too. and the 91 i use to have in my gp big stick 60 i switched that to a st 61 and now thats an amazing plane. Like I always say though different strokes for different folks. The thing i found out about 4 strokes also is there expensive too, i'll stick to my cheap effective two strokes, and laugh my way to the bank. I switched to 4 strokes but ended up switching back to 2 so not all people think 4 strokes are that great. JM2C
