I applaud your effort. Your stab and rudder came out beautifully. Sanding/preparing a plug is a PITA (I know from experience). Would it be possible to separate the fuse in four sections in CAD and cut them out with the CNC machine as well?

Love your work,

Mods

yes it is also possible to do the fuse with cnc and if I didn t already done it I would have used this solution (which was my primary idea).

however it would be very long.

here is a simulation of the cnc milling of the bottom side of the wing...as you can see there are some panel lines directly milled for easy placement!

well...no, I do not think as it is not full time occupation.
I have a very time consuming job and also doing lots of other activities!

lets say that just to build the wings molds I calculated about 50hrs job (40 milling + 10 sanding/finishing/laminating). and I need at least 10 hrs strait shift for the milling so le's say it needs holidays lol

here is the mold of the stab. it is now finished!
I had few issues...first had to cut out its shape as it didn t wanted to come out after molding and then one one of them I damaged badly the primer coating of the master.

anyway this can be fixed and hopfully I do not need them before quite some time (in any case I can mill it again and get 100% same result).

I also attached the progress on the airframe.

that's all for next 2 weeks as I will not have more time to work on that...

I found out that the noze was not strait compare to body (gluing problem I think) so I cut and rectified with the help of the laser...

now the model is perfectly strait!

here is the result of some 3D work to simulate the shape of the vectorized nozzle.

I made a prototype with paper before trying with stainless steel!

I also tried a decals paper I got on ebay...looks working pretty good!

What kind of file is that? I can't open it.

Never mind - got it open. Interesting.
