You definitely have my respect. I'm still in the early CAD stages of my CNC Mill so I'm watching your thread with earnest ; particularly the panel lines. What is you CAD technique for drawing them on the model? Also, what CAM software are you using (Mastercam, SolidCAM, etc)?

Thanks,

Mods

I am basically generalist engineer.

I wanted to use CF and KF but I might change little bit this idea not because of cost but because of radio signal interferences issues.

Awesome project i want to do this someday, just need the skill.

What is the advantage of making the plug using traditional construction over getting the 3d model routed out in blue foam. (probably a stupid question but im new to this and still trying to learn the basics)

Also what cnc router did you use to cut the parts?

Good luck with the rest of the project!!!!

I used skinning technique over cnc milling because I wanted to have more freedom on how to modify the shape while making it. also at the time I did the airframe I was not good enough to do this process (not sure I am now lol).

regarding the router...i designed and made it also myself...
