Who is "Pylon" ? is he a NMPRA officer? And why do the NMPRA membership have to IM this individual for the results of the election?

Why do we have threads like this?

Because I will be accused of censorship if I delete them or alter them. I probably should have moved this thread to Hot Topics, though. Is that what I should do in the future?

According to a user named Pylon on ****/forums, Stu is the winner of the NMPRA Presidency.

I had heard that the winner would be announced at the Houston race or shortly thereafter. Darrol has stated that the winners will be listed in the October NMPRA High Performance newsletter which should be coming out soon. They were waiting for the final JR Gold Cup race before publishing the newsletter.

Hopefully all of the hullabaloo over the election will soon be over. I heard there was a good turn out, and I'm glad that "No Nominee" did not win this year.

The actions of certain individuals have certainly curbed my enthusiasm for pylon racing. But I'm moving forward with my plane development, and I've started working on a Race Management System in Microsoft.NET, primarily as an educational project, that will be capable of running all kinds of pylon races.

I find nothing more boring on these forums than the endless list of idiotic nicknames.

If a person wishes to use these names in their text then OK. However somewhere on the post should be the contributors real name and location.

If this is not shown the moderator should delete the post.

I'm glad to see such a large turnout. Darrol has commented on apathy in the organization a lot over the past year. The turnout certainly doesn't reflect a corresponding level of apathy.

Thanks to all who participated in the election process.

Stu is a really nice guy. He did the initial test flight on my 428 plane at the NATS. We started the engine on the line and he did a range check. The FM receiver I had in the plane didn't pass the test, so we shut it down. Stu went and got a PCM receiver he had and we put it in the plane. This time the range was ok. Stu did a great job test flying the plane and got me in the air. Thanks Stu for all of your help getting me into the air, and congratulations on winning the election.
